About this listen
I'm pushing thirty.
My career sucks.
And for some reason, my landlady has made it her life's mission to make sure I walk down the aisle. But this time—she's gone too far! She rented the other side of my duplex to a guy she claims is hot eye candy, and get this: he has his own business!
Yep! He is 'The Bug Guy—Licensed to Kill.'
He and I did not get off on the right foot for a slew of reasons. But then—my 30th birthday bash happened and in a rare departure from my normal behavior, I totally lost all social inhibitions (with the help of tequila) and awoke to . . . total confusion! Did I mention I was totally naked and The Bug Guy's tee shirt was under my bed?
Just when I thought things couldn't get any weirder—well, I was proven oh-so-wrong!

Brandon and Mallory
I enjoyed this slow burn romance about Mallory and Brandon, it’s positively, hilarious. I laughed out loud at times, and enjoyed being a fly on the wall for this enemies to lovers tale. Mallory and Brandon are neighbours, who didn’t get off to the best of starts, his first impression of her was via a sarcastic note, which left him thinking she was rude, not to be outdone he wrote an equally sarcastic note back to her. When they finally did meet, he thought she was a prude and she thought he had a great body, but was a superficial jerk . Amazingly they did become friends and then finally a couple. I must say I liked that the hero in this story was a blue-collar worker it was a nice change.
Their story is, as I have said, a slow burn with no actual romance before the last chapter, although there are many amusing exchanges between the characters. The sex between them is only alluded to rather than in your face, which is also a nice change. in short, this lighthearted listen is one you could safely allow anyone to hear snippets of, no embarrassing moments when your air-buds don’t connect!
The characters are all well drawn and easy to relate to even the supporting characters. The narration is well done and added to my enjoyment of this entertaining story.
This is the second book by this author, I have listened to, and I admit, I am looking forward to listening to more of her books.

A Hilarious RomCom! Awesome Story & Listen🎧
This fabulous romantic comedy draws you right in, grabbing your attention and holding captive for the entire book. Despite not being present on the premises, Edna Blumenthal, Mallory Jenkins' senior citizen landlord, continues to play a major role in her life. She loves to meddle and is determined to find Mallory a husband, going as far to rent the adjoining apartment to hunk of a man who is single. Brandon Johnson, aka the bug guy, moves in and winds up getting under Mallory’s skin with little effort. Mallory gives him a piece of her mind in a note, and a not too pleased Brandon gives as good as he gets and responds with a note of his own and then some. Loved the shenanigans and the back-and-forth banter between these two. Mallory is transferred to the newly formed repo department of the company she works for and she is crushing on her new work partner. There is never a dull moment in this book, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. There is plenty of drama, angst, humor, some surprising twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn, but a so worth the wait, romance. Andrea Smith, thank you for another amazing story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the terrific narration, Brooke Chambers, Alexander Cendese and Edna Blumenthal were the perfect cast to bring the characters and story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting, sounding believable in every role they played. These talented voice artists handled the witty dialogue with ease and landed the humor effortlessly and their duet performance enhanced the already fabulous story to another level. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the fabulous listen.

Fun
This is a light and fun storyline. The characters are living their best lives before settling down. It’s refreshing to actually see the characters that are meant to be together actually have a life before they meet up without judgement from each other.

Held My Attention
I love Andrea Smith. One of my favorite books is “All of Me”. She has lots of humor in her books. I enjoyed this story, it kept my attention, however there wasn’t a lot of romance, mostly a lot of subtle flirting. I love Edna, I love it when there is an awesome old lady in these books.
Ginger and Julie’s voices were a bit much for me, other than that I enjoyed the narration. Alexander Cendese is one of my favorite male narrators. I recommend this book.

A little bit of everything!
Get ready for this fun listen! Andrea Smith has packed this gem with a slow burn romance, work drama, and suspense! Mallory is not fond of her new next door neighbor. The exterminator doesn't even have the courtesy to keep the driveway unblocked! But after her 30th birthday party where alcohol led to loose lips, things begin to change. Her attraction to her gorgeous co-worker though is still on the front burner. Yes, he's good looking, and kind of her boss, but that doesn't stop the crush. Things are not always as they appear though, and a mystery begins to unwind about this man. Now the question is, who will she choose? The bug guy who she is comfortable with or the man who catches her eye? I loved this romantic comedy, finding myself smiling right along with the listen. It's fast paced, has quirky characters that are incredibly likable and a tug on the heart as I was rooting for the love of her life! Grab this one now!
Making it come alive, the narration team of Brooke Chambers, Alexander Cendese and Edna Blumenthal bring all the fun and laughter. Each one creates the best voices for their characters and in duet style keep the story flowing. All had amazing comedic timing and were pulling all the feels at the same time. It's a great performance and enjoyable listen.

Amazing triple narration from Brooke Chambers, Alexander Cendese and Edna Blumenthal.
Mallory is not fond of her new next door neighbour. The one her landlady says is perfect for her. Brandon is an exterminator, who annoys. At her 30th birthday party with the help of alcohol things begin find herself getting attracted her boss. Who will she choose the man she is annoying and gives her as good as she gives. This is romantic comedy, with great characters and will make you laugh out loud.
