Summary
Neglected by her mother, abused by her stepfather, and trapped in an oppressive cult, Willow Sands has lived the past three years with the shadow of her 15th birthday hanging over her. That was the day her mother handed her over to David, the son of their leader, promising her a future even more bleak than she’d ever imagined. Completely different from this author
Whenever I start a book by Kate L Mary I always know that I wont be disappointed. The book of David Is very different from the books I gave read/ listened to by this author previously and it shows a completely different style of fiction from the author. The cult aspect of this storyline appealed to me from the offset and it was another book that gripped me right from the very beginning. There is great character development and I just absolutely adore the resilience of the main character Willow. I was given this book by the author/narrator in return for an honest and unbiased review

One I will remember for a long while
Gripping story from the off set...giving a very real account of what it is like to live in a cult and the sole destroying affect it has on children and women alike. The author did a fantastic job on bringing the main characters to life and they narrator did them justice. I am looking forward to listening to more from this author.
