About this listen
Award-winning author and researcher Dan Buettner has traveled the world to meet the planet’s longest-lived people, and learned nine powerful yet simple lessons that could put you on the path to longer life. Where did he find them? In the Blue Zones.
Blue Zones are communities where common elements of lifestyle, diet, and outlook have led to an amazing quantity – and quality – of life. Dan Buettner shares the secrets from four of the world’s Blue Zones. Buettner’s extensive study uncovers how these people manage to live longer and better, but found in the everyday things they do: the food they eat, the company they keep, and their very perspectives on life. In The Blue Zones, they become yours to follow for life!

Would recommend overall
The narrator wasn’t my cup of tea as he performs accents and impressions to mimic the people interviewed HOWEVER despite this small blip, the subject matter is very interesting and the book takes you and a nice journey. Facts have reassuring references throughout, although I haven’t verified them.

Simple and life changing
Simple, enjoyable read full of useful tips that are easy to implement. The only drawback is that now I dreaming of moving to Sardegna rather than living my life in London.

Great book inspirational
I really loved the book. I thought it had so many great stories in hear that were joy to listen to as well as practical tips. The accents have ages badly for the different people but even then I enjoyed listening

Great read, more anecdotes than science.
Great read, more anecdotes than science. Nice stories about the individuals visited and their lives. Good for beginners or those interested in small changes to improve life. Not recommended for those who already read deep into the topic of health and longevity.

Worth the Reid – inspiring!
This is a pleasant and inspiring book, it’s about older people in areas of the world where people live longest. Mostly the author comes across as a warm hearted person with a sense of humour, more of a journalist than a stuffy academic. The facts and figures pretty much can’t be argued with. A good read for anyone in their 50s or 60s.

Great content but terrible narration
Love the content. However the narration by Michael McConnohie is overly dramatic and gets in the way.
He frequently tries to use Central American, Chinese, Italian and Australian accents which is laughable.
He's unable to pronounce certain words like 'lived' which also is distracting.
If you want the audio, buy the Kindle book and use the iOS speak screen or Android equivalent

Dislike the narrator
Found the voiceover really distracting - very hammy and overdone. Really disliked the mimicking of foreign accents - just strange and a bit jarring, it didn’t add anything just distracted. I liked the content however, informative & interesting. Shame really about the narrator - lets this down.
