Funny, interesting and uplifting
I found this book and the narrator very easy to listen to, gently funny with some laugh out loud moments but most importantly it left me with a smile upon listening. Worth getting.

Nice concept but...
The concept is very interesting, as well as the information provided in the book. Too bad that I read in some reviews from native (entar nationality here) that the information isn't that accurate. Also, the author tried to give a funny tone to the book but she fails, at least when listening to the book. Maybe this kind of humour serves the written book better. It was a bit tiring to listen to the same phrase over and over again, "because... England... Because... France" as well as "a friend of a friend". Last but not least, I believe that some effort should have been put into learning the correct pronunciation before narrating the book. Words and names were completely mispronounced.

Absolutely wonderful
Such a wonderful book, so uplifting, interesting and easy to listen to/ read. I like it so much that I want to listen to it again, just to go over the concepts. I also want to pass it on to friends as a gift. I liked Helen Russell’s ‘A year of living Danishly’ very much and this book is even more refreshing.

Delightful tour of world happiness
A really delightful tour of different routes to happiness in a variety of countries - I was really charmed by this! The individual cultural experiences were fascinating to hear about - Russell is a really likeable guide, and her interviews with natives of these countries add depth and extra interest.

Cheerful read wolfed down in 2 days!
Really lovely, uplifting read that’s so easy to tap in and out of, made a good audiobook but would be great to have as a paperback for musing through too.

Rushed money spinner - waste of time & money
No real research - just outdated & offensive stereotypes, clichés, cultural insensitivities & outright bias. Every section is 'my friend says this...' without any substance or factual basis. I'm sure the Uyger & Chi Gong followers may disagree with the bs about Chinese happiness. Save your time & money.
