Story
The hottest guy on campus won't stop asking me out. I know that sounds like a good problem to have, but this guy...this guy has no idea how complicated my life is trying to juggle being a single mom and college student. Every Thursday, he shows up at the café where I work. His cheesy pickup lines and arrogance should have me completely annoyed. I'm not. I can't say yes, but Thursday is my favorite day of the week.

Story
I’m banished to Vermont for a scandal that wasn’t my fault, and broke because my famous father cut me off. And did I mention my roommate stole my boyfriend? Yeah, I’m loving my Moo U experience. Now I need a job, because this gel manicure won’t upkeep itself. The only available option is the last one I’d ever want - a job as the hockey team’s equipment manager. My plan is to do the bare minimum, get paid, and find my way back into my father’s good graces.

Charlotte Taylor has three automatic strikes in my book: 1) She hates me. She also claims that I'm a "domineering jerk with a huge, overbearing ego". (I do have something huge. It's not my ego, though.) 2) She takes our mandatory tutoring sessions way too seriously. 3) She's sexy as hell...and a virgin. At least those were her strikes before our study sessions started lasting longer than they were supposed to. Until one innocent kiss became a hundred dirty ones, and until she became the first woman I ever fell hard for.

Secretly hooking up with the team captain's sister was a bad idea. In my defense, the first time I saw her I didn't know who she was. Kind, gorgeous, a little naïve. Ginny brightened my world from day one. I knew I was no good for her. She was just out of a relationship, and I had a reputation for having a new girl in my bed every weekend. I tried to do the right thing. Honest. I'm the one who insisted we should be just friends. That lasted about as long as you'd expect. But Ginny? She's the best - best friend, best everything.

When my teammates drag me to a club for my 21st birthday, the last thing on my mind is meeting a new guy. I’m not the kind of girl who gets wrapped up in a stranger on a sweaty dance floor. Except, that’s exactly what happens. Only, the guy isn’t a stranger. He’s Jett Decker, the Olympic track star who has the entire campus buzzing with his transfer to our college. Let me make a few things clear. I didn't go to the wedding intending to dance with the best man, to dare him to show me a very sexy pic on his phone, or to accidentally kiss him in the hotel elevator after the reception ended. Dear Mr. Vega: I felt it necessary to follow up on today’s meeting, since we weren’t able to speak candidly in front of your son. I was shocked to discover that you are Ryder’s dad. I think it would be best if we just pretend that we met in person for the first time today. Your son is a very bright (flirtatious and talkative) student and since his education is a top priority for both of us, I hope I can count on you to respectfully refrain from grinning at me, using that sexy tone of voice, and undressing me with your annoyingly beautiful brown eyes....

Summary
A jock tutor and a determined sorority girl in this fun and sexy college sports romance.
Blair
What's the probability of insulting the one guy on campus I need to help me pass statistics? If I knew, I wouldn't be standing in front of Wes Reynolds begging him to tutor me.
Basketball player, sexy, arrogant, always sleeping through class...these are the things I knew about him. What I didn't know is that he is a seriously smart jock.
Wes
What's the best way to get rid of the peppy and unrelenting girl that keeps asking me to tutor her? If I knew, I wouldn't be staring at her tan legs and attempting to teach her statistics.
Sorority girl who's fine as hell, determined, and a ball buster...these are the things I knew about her. What I didn't know is that she is all the things I didn't realize I wanted or needed.
Or that one semester with her would change everything.

A COLLEGE SPORTS ROMANCE
Sorority girl and nerdy Jock
My first book by this author and I loved it, so much so, I've already downloaded the next book.
A college sports romance.
Wes is so laid back, he's hot, he's a great ballplayer and when he keeps acing his tests, Blair becomes intrigued on how he's managing to do it seeing as he sleeps through most of his classes and despite her efforts Blair isn't reaching the grades she needs.
It's a sweet romance with no heavy drama.
I listened to this book in audio and really enjoyed it. Likable characters, humor.
I'm looking forward to Gabby and Zeke's story.

My Thoughts on The Assist
This was my first Rebecca Jenshak book but boy do I want more after this. There was so much humor and heart in this book. I loved Wes and Blair. They were both such great characters. The kind you'd want to be friends with. I loved the development of their relationship from classmates who barely knew each other to so much more. They each brought their own something special to the relationship.
I loved the writing style, I loved the plot and characters, and I especially loved the narrators.
Jason Clarke is definitely going on my must listen to everything I can list. Erin Mallon is already there. They were a great choice for this story and I just loved their performance.

Jason Clarke & Erin Mallon fabulous duet narrators
I just love this book. The author Rebecca Jenshak made it not just about basketball the game, but basketball behind the scenes. How the players feels it in their heart, about what it really means to play the game to WIN!The story also had an opportunity to show that all jocks are not stupid, that they do have a brain. The author put some action into it, had a part where you wanted to punch someone, and I definitely don't want to leave out the HOT SEX between Blaire & West.
The narrator's Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon were more than sizzling through my ears because that is what they were giving us throughout the storyline. They had awesome chemistry, like they were meant to do this book together. They're in my "Top 10 List of Duet Narrators" that I would like to hear together in other books, cuz ya they were that sexy hot together. I do recommend this book for sure to others. You'll definitely understand why I gave them 5-🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Suits a young person really interested in sport
Ok, so, I disliked the heroine right off the bat, she was pushy and judgemental and cringe worthy. To me, the ‘dark secret’ driving her behavior was a plot device that should have been dealt with by law enforcement. I liked Wes way more until he ghosted her and was all around sulking bc sport was life. Full disclosure, as a 50yo Australian I just thought he was immature but this could possibly appeal to readers who enjoy a ‘coming of age’ type plot. Both narrators suited the characters and I would certainly listen tothem again but not in this series. This title was accessed as a #Audiobookreviewobsession reviewer

This was an awesome listen!!!
Wes is a college basketball player. He has no time for a relationship, and isn’t looking for one.
Blaire is a college student. She has been burned by a boyfriend and is still being blackmailed by him for a mistake made. She doesn’t want a relationship, nor does she have time for one.
What happens when you’re living out the dream your best friend has had for both of you, and due to an accident, isn’t ready to live it out for herself??
What happens when you meet someone, when you’re not looking for a relationship of any kind, but it comes into your life and you don’t know how to handle it?
What happens when you lose what you believe you’re good at, maybe the only thing... and how do you deal with the relationship you didn’t want, but now have, through all of the disappointment and fear that you’ll never be enough?
The great part of this book is being able to read about this and find out the reasons for the questions and what the answers are. It’s a tremendous book! Rebecca Jenshak is a fantastic writer, and Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke... need I say more!! The narration is spot on!!!!
I loved this!!!

A cute, sweet, sexy story and a great audio
This was a cute college romance that was sweet and light. I can't say there was anything exceptional or too memorable about it storywise but the audio was amazing. Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon did an outstanding job reading this story. If you pick this book, definitely take the audio experience. It was a great pleasure listening to those two as usual. They put so much emotion in every story they perform and this was not an exception.
That was a nice and refreshing story. It had some intense parts, but it wasn’t overly dramatic and left me smiling at the end. I loved the idea of the sexy smart jock and the girl who needed help with her statistic class. It was kind of fun to read. I had some good laughs with this plot. It was a sexy read and definitely had enough to offer in the steam department. But the story was a bit slow in other terms, a bit uneventful and kind of predictable for the most part.
So all in all this was a nice, sweet story, perfect for in-between books maybe. It was somehow light and fluffy. But it managed to put a smile on my face and left me with a positive feeling altogether. But it was the audio experience that raised the rating of this one for me.

Fantastic Twist on the Typical Sports Romance!
Overall 4.5 stars
Performance 5+ stars
Story 4 stars
This book surprised me in the best way! I loved the author's twist on the typical sports romance/tutor trope! It was so refreshing to have the hero be the tutor and not just this over the top, big man on campus jock. I really enjoyed the gradual build up between Wes and Blair. There's definitely an attraction from the start, but they develop a true connection and really get to know each other through the course of the book. They had such great banter and back and forth. Wes is this ornery and grumpy guy, while Blair is a burst of sunshine. Their personalities were such a complement to the other and I loved how they were the light to the others dark.
There are some bumps along the way as they struggle with the depth of their feelings, as well as trouble with a horrible ex and changes in their future game plans, but overall the angst level was pretty low. I did want to throat punch Wes a time or two towards the end, but he did do some pretty good groveling to make up for it. ;) The secondary characters were just as fun, especially Vanessa and Joel. I'm a little wary since Joel is quite the manwhore, but I'm excited that his book is next.
Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke were AMAZING! I loved their narration and both were able to do male and female voices so convincingly. I've listened to quite a few audiobooks with Erin Mallon, but this was the first time listening to Jason Clarke in more than a small supporting role. I have to say, that I was totally blown away by Jason Clarke's performance. He voiced each character so amazingly and uniquely, that I had zero problems figuring out who was speaking. I am so impressed at his range and ability to voice so many characters without them all blending together. Truly a fantastic performance! It doesn't hurt that his voice is damn sexy too! ;) This is my first book by the author, but it definitely won't be my last!

4.5 Fun & Steamy Stars!
I fell so hard for this hilarious, sweet and steamy romance! I wasn't sure what to expect but this story was so refreshing, moving and funny. Blair and Wes had the most awkward beginning scenes. I just wanted to save poor Blair from putting her foot in her mouth! But it was the perfect start to the romance between the overworked Blair and the popular basketball nerd. I loved how Jenshak took her time building their relationship. Bringing in their friends who made this story even more fun but heartrending at times as well. Blair and Wes are so perfect together, balancing their strengths and vulnerabilities. I totally swooned over Wes and all his alpha protectiveness! This story was multifaceted and made my heart hurt at times. Narrators, Erin Mallon, and Jason Clarke were amazing as Blair and Wes. I easily felt all the fun, passion, heartbreak, and love these characters felt. I loved the chemistry between Clarke and Mallon and think they compliment each other so perfectly and I was easily lost to their storytelling.

I loved watching Blair and Wes fall. There was just something fantastic about watching them transition from strangers to friends to so much more. The conflict was believable, and the chemistry was perfect! Both of these characters were so well developed. I felt like I knew them and understood where they were coming from. I also liked that they had their own struggles outside of their relationship.
I seriously can't wait for more of this series. The side characters not only added to this story, but they were developed and left me wanting each and every one of their stories!
Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke did a fantastic job narrating this! They brought the characters to life and had me hooked from the first word to the last. Seriously, these characters popped off the page. Every emotion came through in their performance!

Smart, Hot, Jock indeed
I loved everything about this book. The story is great and believable. It flows well and keeps your interest throughout the entire book. The characters are all well developed and likeable with the exception of the bad guy and he is true to form. You get a good picture of the surroundings so you can picture you are there with Blaire and Wes and all the other great characters we get to fall for in this series. Rebecca Jenshak was new to me on this one but I am hooked on her words.
Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke, just having those two listed is enough to know how good the audio is on this one but let me say they did an outstanding job. I was lost in their voices. Erin is fantastic and I love listening to her but I think I could listen to Jason Clarke read the phone book and be happy. They were both perfect with these characters. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. I loved this and highly recommend it.

Great Sports Romance!
The Story is good with a few twists I haven’t read in other sports books. I like the characters.
Narration is amazing both Erin Mallon and Jason Clark are some of my favorites. They are great at changing there voices just enough to see the voices of the characters come through.
Highly Recommend!

A sports romance not to be missed
Rebecca Jenshak is becoming a favorite author. I love her sports romances. I thought the narrators did a great job with this story. I can’t wait to read/listen to the rest of this series.

Hot jock meets hot nerd!
I won an audio copy of this book from the author. I enjoyed it from the very beginning. The narration was good. Jason Clarke never fails. I really liked the characters in this book.
Blair just can't seem to get an A in statistics and really needs one. How would you feel if you were trying your hardest and then saw someone sleeping in class get an A??? It's not just anyone sleeping, it's the basketball star. How the heck does that happen? He must have the best tutor available, right? Or, what if he is the tutor???
This book is all hot jock meets hot nerd! I don't normally read sports books a lot but I will definitely read the others in this series.
