Summary

A jock tutor and a determined sorority girl in this fun and sexy college sports romance.

Blair

What's the probability of insulting the one guy on campus I need to help me pass statistics? If I knew, I wouldn't be standing in front of Wes Reynolds begging him to tutor me.

Basketball player, sexy, arrogant, always sleeping through class...these are the things I knew about him. What I didn't know is that he is a seriously smart jock.

Wes

What's the best way to get rid of the peppy and unrelenting girl that keeps asking me to tutor her? If I knew, I wouldn't be staring at her tan legs and attempting to teach her statistics.

Sorority girl who's fine as hell, determined, and a ball buster...these are the things I knew about her. What I didn't know is that she is all the things I didn't realize I wanted or needed.

Or that one semester with her would change everything.

Stellar Performance

This is one of those stories that has you all warm and cozy inside. Sometimes you just want to settle into a book with low angst and a whole lot of feel good moments, That's this book. Erin Mallon and Jason Clark were flawless. The narration couldn't have been any better. So yeah I think it's worth a credit.

Loved this so very much

I do not think I can adequately express how much I enjoyed this book. I have never listened to either Erin Mallon or Jason Clarke but I thoroughly enjoyed the way they narrated the book. With both of them I could easily tell who was who within the characters. I have to admit I am a sucker for a deep growly voice though...

The more I listened to these characters the more I liked them. They just got under my skin somehow. I really needed to know what was going to happen. The story itself kept me interested and I'm kinda sad now it's over. If you like college sport romances I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I loved this story. I think I like it more because the narration was brilliant.
The chemistry between the characters was intense, and I felt the dynamic between them.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend.
Looking forward to the next book.

Sweet college romance

There is nothing about this book that I didn’t like, I’m not a huge basketball fan, but that didn’t matter. I’ve discovered I’m a huge basketball player fan. College drama is also another firm favourite of mine, so win, win. Also, the characters, loved them, even when Wes wasn’t acting his best, he was still loveable, he is a good guy who kept finding himself in unfortunate situations. After agreeing to help Blair with her statistics tutoring, it becomes glaringly obvious that they have chemistry, they also have a lot of common interests. Blair is so sweet, a real girl next door character with so much heart, Suffice to say they are a match made in heaven, they just have a few hurdles to overcome before can even contemplate becoming something more. Rebecca Jenshak is a new author to me, one I am certain I will be reading again. Narrators Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke I’m very much familiar with, and of course they nailed it.

A cute, sweet, sexy story and a great audio

This was a cute college romance that was sweet and light. I can't say there was anything exceptional or too memorable about it storywise but the audio was amazing. Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon did an outstanding job reading this story. If you pick this book, definitely take the audio experience. It was a great pleasure listening to those two as usual. They put so much emotion in every story they perform and this was not an exception.

That was a nice and refreshing story. It had some intense parts, but it wasn’t overly dramatic and left me smiling at the end. I loved the idea of the sexy smart jock and the girl who needed help with her statistic class. It was kind of fun to read. I had some good laughs with this plot. It was a sexy read and definitely had enough to offer in the steam department. But the story was a bit slow in other terms, a bit uneventful and kind of predictable for the most part.

So all in all this was a nice, sweet story, perfect for in-between books maybe. It was somehow light and fluffy. But it managed to put a smile on my face and left me with a positive feeling altogether. But it was the audio experience that raised the rating of this one for me.

Wes and Blair!

Wes is the captain of the basketball team, good teammate, great friend and straight A student even though he doesn’t want anyone else to know it. He is a down to earth guy who has not let his success on the court or in college affect his ego.

Blair is excelling in every class she is taking except for Statistics and it is driving her crazy that Wes, the dumb jock who sleeps through class is getting an A.

Although their first meeting did not go well, she realizes that he is exactly the help she needs and now she only needs to convince him. Humorous banter, hot chemistry and the way she just fit in his life and with his teammates make them perfect together and along the way they manage to handle whatever life throws at them together. This is my first book by this author but now I am wondering why and I’m looking forward to more books in this series.

I loved it

The Assist, the first book in the Smart Jocks series, was a fun sports romance that held my attention from beginning to end. I loved the twist away from the smart girl tutors the jocks. Blair and Wes were a cute couple and I loved their interactions and banter. The story was well-written with some angst added to the humorous mix. The characters were well-developed with great chemistry and the secondary characters all added to the story.
The audiobook version was narrated by Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke. These two brought the story to life. They created wonderful personalities for these characters and their pace and timing was spot on. I enjoyed listening to them narrate this novel.

Sweet contemporary sport love story

The overall story was solid and kept me entertained, I really enjoyed the dynamics between all of the characters. The ending felt realistic and not rushed. I will definitely continue with the rest of the series. I absolutely loved the narration slightly more than the book itself. #Audiobookobsessionreviewer
