About this listen
The key to winning arguments, owning debates, and becoming the most influential in the room!
No matter how confident you are or whether you even consider yourself a leader or not. You see, we all know somebody who is able to speak the right words in the right moments. Whether they want something done or somehow are able to charm every person they meet. It seems like they're always able to say the right things, no matter the situation. What is it that makes them different from others?
Why are persuasion and influence such elusive skills for you but not for them? I'll let you in on a secret: there's no difference between them and you. If you've believed that some people are born with a silver tongue while others aren't, think again.
The tightness in your chest or rush of blood you feel when having a heated debate isn't something you have to deal with anymore. You no longer have to endure the anxiety of trying to speak your mind and convince other people of your ideas for a second longer.
Luke Warren knows the power logical thinking has, affecting the outcome of even the most stressful situations, and how you can unlock that power.
In The Art of Debating, here is just a fraction of what you will discover:
- Why we are drawn to some people more than others, and how you can take advantage of these reasons
- What successful persuasion is really all about
- How asking for outlandish favors can actually make people more likely to give you what you want
- The five obstacles holding you back from becoming a master persuader and how you can start to overcome them right now.
- The three crucial types of appeals you must utilize in a debate for a strong argument that convinces both your audience and your opponent.
And, much more!

Highly recommended for basically everyone!
A fantastic book. Too many people these days prefer saying what's on their mind, or what they think people want them to say rather than actually working out what it is they want and helping other people see that vision for what it's worth and how they too could benefit. The art of persuasion I feel is fast becoming a lost art. This book addresses that in spades. Even if you are a good speaker and articulate I'm sure you'll get at least a few extra nuggets of wisdom out of this book. Great read.

Influence and Persuasion at its best !
This was a very useful audiobook. I've learned a lot from this book about how to conduct a conversation and get a favorable result. This well-presented book has a good narrator. I really liked how some of the modern-day influence comes from Aristotle's three modes of persuasion, which are ethos (establishing trust), pathos (evoking emotion), and logos (demonstrating logic). A wonderful book.

Educative!
I find this book an educative one as a teacher, it teaches how to engage young ones in a conversation using the debate to sharpen the mind, helps control and manage emotions which will also help to learn how to express oneself, receive and process information correctly as technology has helped with communications making it effortless to get your word across. Social media makes people communicate their opinion in the age of digital information of which raises debate as people have their views. The book helps to see debating as a skill that can be learned and with more practice, it gives a pattern to solving issues to improve matter and helps the thinking process as well.
