About this listen
Love is the adventure no one sees coming.
Joey Moore got her heart stomped on. At her engagement party. So, she did what any normal, completely rational 28-year-old would do - she moved to a new city with her dog to start a new life. Without much of a plan, it turns out.
Kendall O’Hara doesn’t enjoy chaos - at 42-years-old, she has a stable job and two cats she likes more than most people. Okay, all people, except her close-knit group of friends. She’s not boring. She’s just protecting her still-healing heart decades after a devastating loss.
When Joey and Kendall’s paths cross, a rocky start with an accidental laundry switch turns into an unlikely friendship. From there, the two friends make a pact to get out of their comfort zones, one piece of paper drawn from an “Adventure Jar” at a time. A growing mutual attraction leads them on an adventure that neither one might have expected....

Pretty good but irritating in places.
The premise of the story is good, the characters are interesting and the animals are adorable, esp Ozzy who had me laughing in places. I liked the main characters for the most part but there were times where Joey was a bit dim to say the least and I actually rolled my eyes at times. Kendall has an irritating way of thinking questions sometimes, I mean is there really any need for the "right". Nor does she know what kind of lawyer her best friend's wife is, even when she's supposed to be her close friend too?!! Most of the story/dialogue is fine, however the narrator at times made Joey come across as whinny in places too. I found it a tad difficult to follow one aspect of the story, when the other vets wife has a meltdown with Kendall...that's what lawyers are for..!!!! It's a decent book though, those are just the quirks that bugged me.

Life is an adventure
I loved this book, I couldn’t stop listening to it, that I finished it in one day.
It was entertaining throughout the book and was very funny. You really wanted the two main characters to get together. I don’t think you will be disappointed listening to this book; I will be relistening to it again.
The narration was good, I enjoyed this book and I will be looking out for other books by this author.
