During this evening at the Thalia Book Club, much-loved New Yorker essayist Roger Angell discusses his memoir Let Me Finish with New Yorker writer Mark Singer. The two men chat about the famed magazine, how Angell came to write his memoir, the nature of memory, and the author-editor relationship, among other subjects. Angell also shares several entertaining anecdotes from his life and writing, and reads a selection from his book. An engaging question-and-answer session with the audience follows the talk, in which Angell discusses his two favorite subjects: baseball and martinis.
