Fast paced through the ages
Any additional comments?
I loved this (okay I do love all Matthew Riley books) I had it on cassettes but soon found myself wondering how much of the story I was missing, so was so pleased to find audible selling the unabridged version. So I just had to get it.
love the fact that you have 2 stories running parallel with each other. The way one moment it is high Tec guns and then it is bows and arrows but as one time line has an effect on one story it also helps the hero in the other. Very cleverly crafted story, with lots happening in both line lines. An audiobook you can listen to again and again.

A listen to over and over again
I've read this book more times than I can count and listened to this on audible a few times more.
I love the narration with the different influences for the characters - in my head they sounded very much the same.
The story I find magnificent, the back and forth from Race in the present time to the characters in the past along with giant man eating cats, a whole cast of bad guys. Save the world despite being 'just a language professor' and you have me well and truly hooked.
Read it, listen to it, just do it

Great fun!
Thumping pace, action, adventure, ferocious mythical cats AND Nazis? Suspend disbelief for a while and enjoy the chaos.

A mishmash
This book was great for the first half. Really well described fight scenes and cinematic in its scope. Unfortunately, halfway through it’s almost as though someone said this book isn’t long enough and then the second act branches off into something else before a quick return to the original plot at the end. It just wasn’t sure what it was supposed to be.
In summary, I enjoyed it; mainly the first half, the rest felt a bit like a repeat of the first half with added angst for the main character - who didn’t really react to a personal circumstance the way someone surely would. It’s worth a listen, but be prepared to suspend your disbelief.

Bombastic Joyride
So action packed it should have a John Williams score! Loved this book when I first read it and it is just as good in audio format. And who needs the laws of physics getting in the way of a good action scene anyway?

Audaciously Breathtaking Adventure
Tried Mr Reilly again after enjoying the Tournament.
Temple is much faster paced, a blur of action sequences that makes it hard to remember them all.
Sometimes a little groan worthy in clichéd moments and yet also has you thinking and sweating with tension.
The ordinary guy hero , William Race, is characterized well and you do feel his steps.
The two time traveling stories are balanced well and one never dominated the other.
Enjoyed it very much and will return to the authors other characters soon.

Great concept. Spoilt by comic book narration. Boom Bash..etc. Also too many clichés. German baddies Confusing way it jumped back and forth.

Unstoppable
Really enjoyed this book. It mixed the Da Vinci Code with Map of Bones. Don't want to spoil it for anyone but I couldn't stop listening to it. I ended up sitting in the car at work till the last minute just so I could listen for as long as possible. Lots of twists and turns which kept you interested but not so indepth that if you missed a couple of minutes you lost the plot.
