About this listen
An ancient alliance under siege...a threat for which we are not prepared...and "Grey" aliens who are not at all what we expected.
The enigmatic Greys have returned, bearing a host of stunning revelations regarding their role in Earth’s history, the Pelarans, and humanity’s place in the cosmos.
The Pelaran Alliance has effectively disbanded, and Pelara itself is now dominated by the same world-shaping AI originally created to manage its own cultivation program. Armed with this new information, Terran Fleet Command must decide if coming to Pelara’s aid is worth risking a direct confrontation with the AI-controlled remnants of their once-mighty alliance.
Griffin, openly declaring his allegiance to both TFC and the world he has helped to build, agrees to accompany the Grey ship Ethereal on a high-risk recruiting operation spanning thousands of light years. Their mission: enlist the help of enough Guardian spacecraft to put an end to the out-of-control, tyrannical AI before its forces can reach Earth.
Captain Tom Prescott and the crew of TFS Fugitive, joined by allies both old and new, must reach Pelara and take the fight to the Alliance AI at the very center of its power. While in the Sol system, Admirals Patterson and Naftur fight a seemingly hopeless battle to save both Earth and Graca from certain destruction.

A great conclusion to the story so far.
For a series that borders on pulp at times this 5 book series has been a lot of fun seeing humanity bootstrap from non orbital to the various steps as the story and setting progressed.
The voice work eas pretty good, the setting intriguing, the pace/story risk and the stakes clearly laid out and each phase set out well in terms of choice and consequence.
It’s going to struggle with anything like this pace going forth due to the plot developments but it remained (to me) an engaging and well told story thus far.
Book 6 seems to shift perspective so I’m taking a break here and letting the positivity longer, plus maybe hit a sale and get more books in the series as if the intro story was 5 books long I have learned my lessons for buying in too soon even for sequels to successful franchises.

Excellent space Opera
I have been enjoying these books very much and recommend them. There's just one quibble, however, I think it's a shame the narrator has missed the opportunity to give the several alien species a different voice. I found that when I've stepped out of the story and come back in, it's been hard to tell whether it's the alien or human talking. I feel this detracts from the impact of separate and very different species interacting. It removes much of the alien bizarre flavour from the story.

A little confusing with this narrator
At times throughout this series i struggled to differentiate between different characters, the narrator voice changed so little i had to repeat chapters in the hole series. but i likeable story.

audible and authors, please have some more respect
This story is very good, but cutting it into such small tidbits as an obvious money making just distracts from the professionalism. I'm refusing to give money to such distasteful practices. Authors - you will get more by being honest!
