Summary

From New York Times best-selling author Anne Marsh comes a full-length stand-alone novel about hot bad-boy firefighters.

A smokin' hot fireman.... The girl who jilted him.... One night trapped on a mountain to rekindle old flames....

One glorious summer together. That’s what we had. And then Olivia Albert dumped me. I didn’t plan on ever seeing her again. I sure didn’t plan on finding her smack in the middle of a raging forest fire, needing my hotshot help to save her cute FBI-agent self.

She has no idea how she made me feel. What she makes me feel now. But being forced to camp out in the woods overnight while dodging flames, a terrorist, and memories makes a few things perfectly clear.

Fun fact of the night number one: Olivia is hotter than ever. Fun fact number two: She really, really likes my body. My firefighting muscles. My...hose. Fun fact number three: Sometimes you have to let a fire burn. And once we’re out of the woods and back to reality, neither of us can take back what’s been said and done.

I’ve got a second chance at Olivia, and this time I’m in it to win it.

This full-length stand-alone Mister Hotshot novel from New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Anne Marsh is full of dirty, swoon-worthy hotshot firefighters who know how to use their hoses and who are about to learn how to use their hearts.

This novel was originally published as a much shorter and tamer novella by eKensington and has been completely rewritten. The story is twice as big...and so are the hoses.

5 Stars for Christian Rummel

As always, Christian Rummel is amazing. I agree with the other reviews, the female narrator isn't right for the part and her overly breathy, faux dramatic voice gets annoying after a few chapters. The premise of the story is OK, if a bit insta-love, even though the main characters are supposed to have known each other previously. Stone is well-written and has a refreshing range of emotion. The story could've done with more rigorous editing - we're told that Stone was a former Navy SEAL, then later he's a former Marine, and clothing and other details change inconsistently. Overall it felt like the story was written in a hurry but it's still a fun piece of escapism.
