Summary

Losing a guardian is one of life's hardest challenges to face. At the age of 14, I lost my mother to cancer. That early experience of loss and my journey through grief were the first steps towards a lifetime of studying the process of grief in order to guide people through their own difficult journeys....

Very good tool

Losing someone is always a hard experience, specially if that someone is one of your parents. However, losing one of your parents at a young age will definitely become one of the hardest challenges. If one does not properly face its own feelings and and work on accepting the situation it can negatively impact the rest of your life.
I enjoy the audiobook as it is quickly introduces the concepts but jumps directly into practical exercises that anyone can adjust to its needs. I liked how anyone can start putting into practice the tips and activities, and start feeling a bit better right away.

Fantastic Book!

As someone who lost their father at a young age, I can say I wish I would have had this book. This book covers a lot of the topics that young people who have never dealt with death before will want to explore. Chapter 3 really stood out to me, as the author was validating the array of feelings an individual might go through. I also liked that the author included practical activities for us to work through. The book is easy to follow along with and I would suggest it to anyone going through losing a loved one.
