Summary
Atlantes, a lost city of intrigue to most, is Brutus' home, his curse, his prison. Doomed to an immortal life deep in the ocean, their only chance at salvation is to rescue damsels in distress from the surface world and bring them into the abyss. While mythology may label him and his kind monsters, this warrior is simply a man with needs. And he's found the perfect woman to see to them.

Words can't express the greatness
This is the 4th audiobook in series and is just as great as the rest. It's Brutus & Laurel's story.
Brutus starts the day being depressed about his loneliness & the mer punishment. Who knew it would end in his eventual mating to Laurel. He gets so tongue tied when he speaks to her and clearly knows NOTHING about women that it's so comical. Laurel's backstory is very sad but Brutus makes her feel safe and he sparks something in her. However, she is adamant about not becoming a mermaid. When they do the inevitable, wink wink, her feelings for Brutus solidify. So much so that when "earthquakes" hits & King Lucian sends him out to check on it, Laurel goes out of her mind. Then, 4 days later, after nobody's heard from him, she does the one thing she said she wouldn't do. And just like that she becomes the hero of the audiobook. Plus afterwards, she has the best line......."Um, I really love the affliction." I laughed so hard I cried.
This is another great story by Michelle M Pillow with great narration by Rebecca Cook.

How is this so good
This book has such a fantastic romance story going through it, and a really strong storyline to back up the rest of the book. I can’t wait to see where this is going as it just keeps getting better each time.

Something different
This book is very different to the other sea creatures books I’ve read before. With a good storyline I enjoyed it. Great performance.

adventure, a bit of drama and a few laughs
I’m completely enticed with this series. Definitely a must get. Hot and romantic with a bit of action and adventure. Narrator does a great job too. I promise you won’t get bored.
Wanting an adventure, so you hire a boat. Right? Wrong.
When you capsize, the drunken captain and his crew will save you, right? Wrong.
If you are looking for a book, with adventure, a bit of drama and a few laughs this series is for you.
Can't wait to read the next in this series.

Book 4
This book follows Brutus who saves Laurel and as he tries to be honest about where she is he proceeds in frightening her. When there’s an attack on the dome Laurel knows she has to transform and go to help Brutus . The story carries through from book 1 where the psychotic queen and her crazy followers are trying to overthrow the dome and the king and I can’t wait until someone ends the queen and her crazies .

Life under the Sea
Interesting and entertaining short story. Mermen trying to resurrect their kind with women from land. I like strong women and the heroine proved that she was loving and protective.

Lords of the Abyss
This is the 4th book in Michelle M Pillow’s Lords of the Abyss series. I haven’t read any of the other books in the series and didn’t feel disadvantaged by that. Brutus, the strong shy alpha falls for Laurel who he rescues from the sea! Another first for me, this one with Mermen! Only criticism is that I wasn’t too keen on the way the narrator did Brutus’s voice. However, this hasn’t put me off and I will be reading more.

Brilliant adaptation
Brutus has resingned himself to being alone. So when he brings Laurel from the surface, he is overwhelmed by his attraction to her. When he is carring her from the ocean every mere that see's her asks permision to woo her. Brutus is a warrior and a mere of few words who will her stand a chance. Laurel finds it hard to understand where she is and how her life has changed. Is this the adventure she has been loooking for.

An enjoyable listen
The fourth book in the series finds Brutus rescuing another damsel from the seas. An enjoyable book that continues the plot from the first one.

good
This was a bit shorter than the others and seemed to be a decade later than the previous books. Found that there were a few missed links that would have been nice to explain things but i believe its setting up a great climax to the series.. i hope anyway....
