Summary
Trail of Broken Wings is a novel by Sejal Badani. The novel follows the story of a family who immigrated to California from India, focusing mainly on three sisters who suffered incredible abuse at the hands of their father, Brent. When Sonya, the youngest, arrives home shortly after her father falls into a coma, the three women and their mother are forced to confront the abuse and the ways in which it altered their lives.
Upon Sonya's arrival in California, the family has dinner together at her middle sister Trisha's house. Sonya is briefly confronted by her sisters for not being present or active in the family since she left home after her college graduation. Afterward Sonya goes to stay at her mother Ranee's house but must barricade herself in her bedroom in order to feel safe.
