Please note: This is a key takeaways and analysis of the audiobook and not the original book.

Start Publishing Notes' Summary, Analysis, and Review of Ashlee Vance's Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future includes a summary of the audiobook, review, analysis & key takeaways, and detailed "About the Author" section.

Preview: Ashlee Vance's Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX and the Quest for a Fantastic Future is a biography of tech developer and entrepreneur Elon Musk. Musk is famous as the CEO of Tesla, which makes electric cars, and SpaceX, a private rocket developer.

Musk was born in South Africa. His mother Maye, was a model, and his father Errol, was an electrical engineer. Musk had a difficult childhood, and was often bullied in school. His parents divorced when he was nine and he and his brother Kimbal, went to live with their father. Errol was a very unpleasant man, and treated the boys coldly and perhaps abusively. The trauma of his childhood may have affected Musk's need for validation, his obsessive work ethic, and his difficulty in communicating with others later in life.
