Summary

I was bought to be a pretty pawn in my alien captors’ twisted entertainment. But the gorgeous, horned alien who saves me from death is no pawn—and he’s determined to beat the hunt. But is he rescuing me or claiming me as his prize?

Lia:

As if being abducted by space slavers wasn’t bad enough, I’m sold to a species of aliens in need of extras for their immersive entertainment moons, where their privileged citizens can hunt or battle or bed us at their leisure. When I’m separated from my crew and dropped into a lush alien jungle, I have no idea which fantasy moon I’m on—until the first arrow nearly impales me.

The alien who saves me and kills my attacker isn’t one of them. He’s a Taori who crash-landed on the moon and is now part of the life-or-death game. Massive and menacing with horns, a tail, and dark ink covering every bit of exposed flesh, Turl eyes me with an undeniable hunger that scares me almost as much as the aliens hunting us. But if I want to survive, my only chance is to accept his protection.

Turl:

The last thing I need to worry about as I attempt to stay alive and find my fellow Taori warriors is a human female, but once I save Lia from a deadly attack, she is mine to protect. I’m trained to kill and to defend, and I will need to do both if I’m to safeguard the small, alluring creature and survive the aliens’ hunt.

If only I didn’t have to worry about my species’ mating fever curse and the strange stirrings within me. Soon I’ll be battling more than the alien hunters. I’ll be fighting off the uncontrollable urge to claim Lia as my mate—whether she wants to be mine or not.

Submit is a full-length sci-fi romance novel with an HEA and no cheating. It features hot scenes on a hunting moon, violent alien battles, and some seriously steamy forced proximity scenes.

If you like alien abduction romance (as well as dominant and dangerous alien warriors with horns, tails, and bonus parts), you’ll love SUBMIT, the first book in Tana Stone’s sci-fi romance The Sky Clan of the Taori series. Each book can be listened to as a standalone, but you’ll enjoy them more if you listen to them in sequence.

I mean....oh come on...

Maybe I am getting cynical in my old age but (spoiler) this girl gets captured and sent to an alien moon to be hunted for sport and her WORRY is that the alien man she teams up with to stay ALIVE doesn't want to have sex with her??? Its been a day and a half and she almost cried and started pouting because he doesn't want to bang her. Then the next day he is confessing his love for her(while also still being HUNTED) If you want a mildly sexy story with a mediocre story line this will be right up your alley. I wish I didn't waste a credit honestly. The narrators were spot on for me, which is where the 3 stars come from. They were the best part of the book.

Duck, Duck, Duck!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️💖
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏🌍
Character development: ☹️🙃😍☺️
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The Hero: Torst - He is a warrior from the sky clan of the immortal army of the Taori. They are on a journey across the sky to pursue their enemy. Though right now they are trying to help with the mating fever that has one of their brothers in its thrall. They are trying to either find a cure or find a hedonistic planet with compatible females so their brother can find a mate. He once had been promised to a Taori female who has been gone for a very long time.

The heroine: Lia - She works for the security force on a transport ship and is abducted by alien pirates and sold to a species of Elite aliens who make money from games with live sentient beings. They have different games on different moons and their customers pay for the privilege of either hunting them, bedding them or watching them in gladiator type battles to the death. Lia is left on a moon without knowing what is in store for her until she is nearly killed. It looks like she is the wild game in a hunt and has to run for her life.

The Story: The Taori ship is pulled into an energy vortex which turns out to be some sort of anomalous temporal wormhole. They exit the vortex and find they are in another galaxy. They end up 500 years in the future, near a planet with called Chulawn with three inhabitable moons which they know nothing about. Since they came out in the future, they were all in danger of going into mating fever at any time. They were hit by missiles and had to get on the escape pods, they ended up landing on the moons, all the pods were scattered while their battleship exploded.

I really liked this story. There was action, adventure, danger and a journey, in addition to a bunch of chemistry and a mating fever. The characters were both strong and tough and willing to fight for themselves and others. I would listen to the rest of this series, if the audiobooks were longer. I generally won’t pay for audiobooks that are only 4-6 hours. I got this one at a cheaper price because I had the kindle edition. Though if Tana Stone ever puts more of her books together into an audiobook set, I will definitely buy more.

This book is told in dual points of view via dual narration and is narrated by Aubrey Vincent and Marcio Catalano. Marcio has a deep pleasant voice which worked well for the huge male alien. Aubrey has a clear voice and she is good at showing emotion through her voice. She does well as Lia, who is a great character. I love that when she swears, she says duck instead of something else.

Great first book in the series

This book is the first in the new series spin off from the Drexian Warrior series. Our new hero’s have horns AND a tail! We’ve been sucked into a wormhole that has thrown us 500 years in the future. Crash landed on a hunting moon our H has to fight to stay alive, all while needing to cure his mating fever. So many twists and turns, Tana Stone never fails to write a great book!

Action and Spice

Submit takes us along with the Taori. In this instance, our hero is sucked through a wormhole to a planet that is ran by people wanting to hunt .. what they want to hunt. In this case? Human females. Our heroine was dropped here to be hunted. I dont want to give away spoilers but needless to say there are some intense action scenes as they fight to free themselves. So excited to be reading about the Taori that we met in a previous series ;) Tana is great at word building and strong characters and she doesn't disappoint with this new series. The narrators are good. I prefer when they have the male and female narrators and Tana has that with her books. Enjoy!

Very good

Good story. Good narrators. Unlike the last book I read, this used grown up language.
