Summary
You know you need to start investing because you won’t be able to work your whole life. You don’t want to be the old employee working as a door greeter at your big chain department store. It will also be frustrating and very depressing if you are not financially aware of your future. Time seems to go faster the older you get, and it’s never too late to get started.
But getting started might be one of your problems. There is too much information available, and too many scammers are trying to get you to invest in shady companies. You also don’t have the time to figure everything out by yourself because it might seem too hard and complicated.
However, getting the investing part of your life handled will improve your life tremendously. You will have peace of mind when you think about your future, and you will also have the confidence to make sound investing decisions. You’ll also have the knowledge to talk intelligently with your peers and financial advisors, making it easy to spot when someone is giving you wrong information.
I begin with the basics, like what stocks are and how the stock market works. I then transition into how you can make money in the stock market, give you some stocks you should have on your watch list, and some of the lies and mistakes you will have to deal with as an investor.

Great start to learning this crazy subject!
I'm a 31 year old bloke who wants to get a bit of extra cash, so thought about investing. I pick this book because if I'm honest have no idea what I'm going into!! This book is short at around an hour, and is great to get an understanding of the crazy world that is investing!

good start
I knew absolutely nothing about stock marketing at the start of this book. This would probably only greatly benefit those of my same knowledge level on the subject. It was simple to understand, clear, concise, and not overwhelming. It was just enough information to give me a good starting point and understanding on the subject without discouraging me from delving into it from how deep I'm sure you can go on the subject.

Good for beginners
Overall it’s a great book for the very basics of stock. You will not learn much from this book such as charts how to predict certain things or how to get good results with stocks. This book is for someone who barely understands what the stock market is and what it’s about.

An Informational Read
This was a very good and informative read. I appreciate it the information on dividends versus capital but I would have liked to hear more about how to invest for Capital returns more. any confusion I had on dividends has been clarified though.
