About this listen
A best friend’s brother stand-alone from small-town romance author Brooke Montgomery about a girl who falls pregnant by the wrong man and the cowboy who takes her in…I've crushed on my best friend's brother for years.
He's a six-foot-three, dark-haired cowboy who works on his family's ranch and sends butterflies to my stomach anytime he looks at me. But he's never made a move, so I need to get over it.
Except, when he reads a text message about me liking a mysterious guy, he snaps and demands answers. Little does he know, it's my code name for him.
When he finally confesses he likes me too, I find out I'm pregnant. With my ex-boyfriend's baby.
After spending three weeks together in secret, my world turns upside down when that little white stick reveals a positive sign from the one-night stand I had before him.
Now everything's a mess and my life's spiraling out of control.
I can't expect him to date me anymore, so I insist we return to being friends. The last thing he needs is a girl who's carrying another man's baby and about to be a first-time mom.
But when my apartment gets broken into, and there's a suspected criminal on the loose, he insists I move in with him to keep me safe.
Staying platonic proves to be harder with each passing day as he goes with me to my appointments, takes me baby shopping, and stocks the kitchen with all my weird cravings. He's so involved that everyone assumes he's the father. And I don’t correct them.
But the truth always comes out in a Southern small town.
Stay With Me is book 2 in the Sugarland Creek series. Each book in this Southern, small town series is a stand-alone and ends in a happily ever after.

Tripp & Magnolia are Powerful!
Stay With Me is insanely good! Tripp is the epitome of alpha-cinnamon roll deliciousness. A truly good man with a heart of gold who knows who and what he wants and will not settle for second place. I absolutely adore him!!! Magnolia is a frustratingly selfish and self-centered character for so much of this novel it was hard for me to connect with her—until we learn more about her past and why she is the way she is. With understanding came my ability to connect. I just love Sugarland Creek and getting to know the people of this town.
The narrators were awesome at bringing the novel to audio life with passion, intensity, and so much more. I fell into the story and their easy-to-listen-to voices, and found myself rooting for these characters even harder because of it.

Love this whole series
Brooke does it again! I have binged every book in this series and this was no exception! 👏🏻I think Tripp is by far my favorite MMC in this series. He treated Magnolia like the queen she is. SWOON. 🥹The suspense in this book (and the whole series) is so good! I did not expect it to turn out how it did! I am officially all caught up on this series and I am counting down the days until Only With Me.😍
Read if you love
- brother's best friend
- accidental pregnancy (not the MMC's baby)
- small town
- cowboy romance
- he falls first
The audiobook is narrated by the talented Aiden Snow and Savannah Peachwood. Aiden & Savannah are fantastic narrators and I love every book they narrate!🩷

Better and Better
Overall Thoughts: This series gets better and better with each book I listen to. My only wish is that I listened to these in order. As much as I connect with each couple, I think knowing more about Landon before his book would have made that connection even deeper. The chemistry between Tripp and Magnolia is evident from the start and you can see how their attraction grows over the years even though Magnolia has no idea why Tripp never made a move, until much later. Upside from the “I’m not good enough for you” trope, this book is pure perfection, with the right balance, of plot, spice, and danger.
Narration: Dual narration, first-person present tense, dual-POV with some flashbacks
Tropes: small town, best friend’s brother, business owner, ex drama, her safety is in jeopardy, she pushes him away, unplanned pregnancy, baby isn’t his, close family, cowboys, he takes care of her, breeding kink
Overall: 4.5
Spice: 3
Humor: 2
Drama: 3
Darkness: 2
Narration: 5
Tripp has lingering guilt from an incident that occurred when he was in high school, and his best friend died in a drunk driving accident. He felt he could have prevented it, and he carried this guilt with him into his adult life.
Magnolia has had an on again, off again relationship with her crappy boyfriend for years, always going back to him even if there is no good reason, until one night he drugs her drink and Noah drinks it by accident, and that is the end of their relationship, until she gets jealous of the girl flirting with Tripp and gets drunk and sleeps with her ex after two years.
A couple of weeks later Tripp finally makes his move and shortly after Magnolia finds out she is pregnant. Not wanting to be a burden she breaks up with Tripp, but when her home is broken into, and she has no where to go, she moves in with Tripp and he uses the opportunity to show Magnolia that he will love her and that baby if she would only let him.

Perfection !!!
Stay With Me is book three in three Sugarland Creek series and so far it is my all-time FAVORITE. Brooke I don't know what you put into this one, but I inhaled it. I was absolutely addicted. I knew I would love it, I never thought it would be this much. This series truly has a special place in my heart now. The scenery, the characters, the ranch, everything is so vivid and perfect. This book is a true roller-coaster of emotions, I laughed, swooned, cried and raged. Was it worth it ? Yes.. absolutely!
Magnolia is my favorite FMC I've loved her from the beginning and couldn't wait for her story. She is an absolute firecracker, she's strong and independent, I just adore her. Tripp I am obsessed with this man. He's just a dream. He's so obsessed and protective of his girl. The way Brooke wrote the spice between these two was OUT OF THIS WORLD, I had butterflies. The scenes were damn 🥵🥵. Their little nicknames for one another was the absolute sweetest thing.
I'm obsessed, no words could ever express how much i loved this book. How much I am absolutely consumed by this series, my heart is going to shatter when it's over. One of the best cowboy/ranch series I've read.
🎧 The narration by Aiden Snow & Savannah Peachwood was an absolute dream. Pure perfection these two together. The way they fit perfectly, their voices are amazing. They narrate the spicy scenes to perfection. From the start they held my attention and kept it until the end. I felt every single emotion.
