Summary
Opposites may attract - but can two very different people find lasting love?
A year ago, ex-Delta Force operator Steven Roark left the rigors of combat behind to run fishing charters in Hope Harbor, decompress, and talk some sense into his kid brother. Business is good - but making peace with his past is more challenging than he expected.
First-grade teacher Holly Miller leads a low-profile existence - until she’s recruited to advocate for a cause that’s dear to her heart. When she solicits Steven’s assistance, sparks fly - especially after they find themselves on opposite sides of an issue that disrupts their placid seaside community.
As these two seemingly incompatible souls wrestle with their differences, might they discover more common ground than they expect - and a future filled with promise?

Too much pontification
Pros - reasonable storyline, awesome narrator. Cons - far too much preaching & moralizing (yawn)

LONG WINDED
i usually like books by Irene Hannon and I intend to read other books she has written but I found this particular one to drag on and on and on....... I just was not in the mood for the reference to things that took chapters to reveal, especially since I guessed what each plot detail was before the revealing, nor did I enjoy all the self dialogue the characters seemed to love to have with themselves. Overall in my opinion not one of her better books! The only saving grace was Therese Plummer A MASTER NARRATOR!!!!

Engaging, fun, meaningful, and full of heart
This is my favorite book in the series so far. This book touches on some very deep and intense topics, and I love the balanced perspective that the characters give on difficult topics like cancer, chronic disease, terrorism, the sanctity of life, war, and pro life issues.
This book is also a beautiful love story about a small town that works together to care about one another and the community, and about acceptance and forgiveness. As always, Therese Plummer (sp?) did a great job with the audio narration. I would recommend this to people of faith who also enjoy a good romance.

Excellent!
I really like Irene Hannon’s books. I know some reviewers complained about the controversial subjects: physician assisted suicide, abortion, etc.
However, what makes this book stand out from other books is God.
God is Love. God’s Grace is sufficient. All we have to do is ask. A few of the characters finally understood the gift of forgiveness.
Therese Plummer did her usual fantastic narration.
Yes, I really liked this book.

Good Romance novel
Except for the religious parts this was a typical romance novel. It was just what I wanted to hear and I enjoyed it.

Another fantastic story and narration!
You can’t go wrong with Irene and narration by Therese. I liked the underdogs in this story and the compromise on ones position, we could all use more of. I liked redemption, forgiveness and faith...a center of this series. Worth the credit and the time!

The characters are well developed and the story is intriguing. I could not stop listening to the audio version. The narrator was excellent as well. Irene Hannon and her stories
