Upon seeing the title of the book, you might think that Spiritual and Atheist are contradictory. Peter Ahkia takes a different approach to defining religion, spirituality, and atheism. He takes an unbiased and objective stance on the breakthroughs and shortcomings of both science and religion, highlighting that they are neutral ideas of thought that can do wonders to help us understand and find the truth more clearly, but also be wielded for power to influence the thoughts and behaviors of their followers/believers for control.

In the end, we are all seeking a perspective that is most practical and beneficial to our lives. In that sense. the truth is also subjective. By adopting the idea that all is one, everything has existed and will continue to exist forever, and that all is love. We are able to find a common ground between religion, science, spirituality, and atheism that fosters peace and alignment with our best interests.

It also dives deep into the idea of the meaning of life and how it is all an illusion based on how we choose to see things. Life truly has the outcomes and meanings that we decide and the purpose of life is for us to experience it all—the ups and downs, highs and lows are all part of the beautiful human experience that gives life meaning.

I would recommend this book to everyone so that they can gain a higher perspective on life and existence. Some may understand it, some won't, but in the end it isn't good or bad, it just is, as the author states.

i feel this book really makes you think, like, can you not believe in god but still feel something more out there? i dont know how to explain but it gives me a feeling that it tries to bring together two things that seem totally opposite. the author has a way of poking at what you thought was true and making you question it all. didn't think a book could make me look at atheism and spirituality in a new light, but here we are. it's not just about arguing points but feeling out where science and faith overlap. some bits were a bit over my head, but it's somewhat interesting to think about these big questions. definitely a book that sticks with me.
