Sarah Huckabee Sanders
About this listen
This program is read by the author.
A candid, riveting account of the Trump White House, on the front lines and behind the scenes.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders served as White House press secretary for President Donald J. Trump from 2017 to 2019. A trusted confidante of the president, Sanders advised him on everything from press and communications strategy to personnel and policy. She was at the president's side for two and a half years, battling with the media, working with lawmakers and CEOs, and accompanying the president on every international trip, including dozens of meetings with foreign leaders - all while unfailingly exhibiting grace under pressure. Upon her departure from the administration, President Trump described Sarah as "irreplaceable", a "warrior", and "very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job".
Now, in Speaking for Myself, Sarah Huckabee Sanders describes what it was like on the front lines and inside the White House, discussing her faith, the challenges of being a working mother at the highest level of American politics, her relationship with the press, and her unique role in the historic fight raging between the Trump administration and its critics for the future of our country.
This frank, revealing, and engaging memoir will offer a truly unique perspective on the most important issues and events of the era and unprecedented access to both public and behind-the-scenes conversations within the Trump White House.

Best book this year!
I knew just a few pages in I was going to love this book. There's always been something about Sarah I've been drawn to and couldn't wait to read her story. It's a wonderful read didn't want it to end. Of course I wanted to hear about her time working for the President but mostly wanted to know all about Sarah and her amazing family. So many endearing stories that made me laugh out loud, smile & nearly cry. Sarah you are truly a beautiful soul 💖 thank you for writing this book.

In God We Trust
A great insight into the Trump White House and the struggle faced by Sarah to cut through the often one sided media machine. I take my hat off to her for her dedication to her job.

Recommend - entertaining and informative listen
Much enjoyed for:
1) Sarah's "down to earth" autobiography including details on her Father, Mike Huckabee's political career.
2) The motivation driving her and unashamed faith. Her strong character and honesty come through.
3) The dignified way in responding to unwarranted hostile and vindictive opposition.
4) Insight into the operations of a US Administration and the main milestones of the Trump presidency.
5) Having just read Mary Trump's recently released book - also enjoyable - appreciated a different perspective on Trump's character and personality.
This book provides, in my view, an honest account of the massive divide between Right and Left in America.
The Anti-Trump Media will ignore this book, not wanting to publicise anything, that reveals the visceral hatred toward anything different from "the new norm of the left" and the positive influence Sarah's account may make in increasing the likelihood of a Trump re-election.
