Summary
Set in the 1990s in San Francisco. June is a single mom raising her son Brooklyn in the heart of the Mission district.
His grandmother Beverley, who has dementia, kidnaps him one day after-school. She hires two dangerous men to help her. Beverley kidnaps Brooklyn because she is playing out an event from her past.
