About this listen
World-renowned biohacker and bestselling author Dave Asprey reveals how to maximize your well-being with the minimum effort, by taking control of your body’s operating system.
If you want to lose weight, boost your energy, or sharpen your mind, there are shelves of books offering myriad styles of advice. If you want to build up your strength and cardio fitness, there are plenty of gyms and trainers ready to offer you their guidance. What all of these resources have in common is they offer you a bad deal: a lot of effort for a little payoff. Dave Asprey has found a better way.
In Smarter Not Harder, the proven master of biohacking exposes the surprising secrets of your body’s operating system, or its “MeatOS.” That system is naturally designed to be lazy, which is why sweaty exercise routines and rigid diets produce such limited effects. Dave shows us how to hack the MeatOS and make it do what we want it to do, turning it from obstacle into ally. The key to achieving optimum wellness, he reveals, isn’t about doing more, it’s about doing less—exercising and eating smarter, not harder, and making the body’s built in laziness work for you.
Smarter Not Harder is not a diet nor a fitness plan. It is a system of targeted biohacks aimed at upgrading your metabolic, neurological, and epigenetic systems. Packed with practical, accessible information on better eating; smart workouts that give you more strength and energy in less time; and strategic therapies to reduce stress and boost resilience—Smarter Not Harder will show you how to achieve lasting health in less time.

Not like his previous books but still interesting
A much better and easier read than Fast This Way! This book is quite technical and very differently presented than many of Dave's other books. it's a good insight for anybody wanting to better understand the supplements element of BioHacking and Longevity.

Fantastic book with lots of great hacks. And great narration. And helps you to pick your target on what you want to improve.

Dave made me a better person…
I bought my first Bulletproof book on a whim as a holiday read in 2014. I saw value in what Dave was saying and started trying it.
I can see 1000% improvement in who any what I am and this book reinforces and adds to the Bulletproof mindset.
Don’t just buy it. Do it.

A biohacker’s guide
Dave’s book is brilliant and worthwhile. He goes into the depths of health and wellness, covering a plethora of necessary topics. What you will find with most of the poor reviews is disdain towards the more expensive and harder to find tools - but what you must remember is that ultimately this is a biohacker’s guide, not the ‘beginner’s guide’ or the ‘cost effective guide.’ Please see my full review on Instagram @neurotichealth

Extremely difficult to implement
Interesting ideas but living off artichokes and corn fed beef and dairy isn’t practical for most people.

Very informative!
After purchasing and listening „Smarter not harder“ I was delighted to see this one in the Plus catalogue and started to listen it immediately to get better and more in depth understanding how to upgrade my health. It’s packed with great advice and the reasoning behind the „why“. I’ve desided to start incorporating the advice into my life so I also got myself the paper book for quick reference. Thank you Dave!

Well worth your time (audiobook works very well)
I’m quite familiar with Dave Asprey’s books and podcasts yet this book still has new usable material from the outset.
Authors reading their own work doesn’t always work but here Asprey’s reading adds an additional nuance and strength to the words. This is especially the case as he seems to delve into personal experiences from his early life.
If you feel you need some tweaks to your current way of operating (mentally, physically, emotionally) this book probably has a good return on the investment.
Be lazy….and thrive!
