About this listen
Perfect for fans of Robyn Carr's Virgin River Series, the author of Goodbye, Lark Lovejoy returns with a stirring story of a mother's enduring love, a family's betrayal, and the ultimate act of forgiveness.
One mistake can steal your innocence. One promise can threaten a friendship. One secret can tear apart a family.
Sissie Klein barely remembers the night that tore her from the carefree life she knew. Not long after the shocked teen is pushed into marriage, she's rushed to the hospital, where a catastrophic delivery seals her destiny. Sissie may not have been ready for motherhood, but she loves her daughter fiercely, and she's determined to give her the opportunities she forfeited. Some fates, however, can't be avoided.
When Meg is a young woman, tragedy steals her father, leaving behind a legacy of deceit—and a toddler.
Heartbreaking, tender, at times humorous, Sissie Klein Is Completely Normal examines the ties that bind us—some inherited, some chosen, but none without their share of agonizing tangles.

Great storytelling
This book follows the life of Sissie Klein from a young age into adulthood, and we get to watch her grow up. We watch her failures and how she handled them, and her successes, and how gracefully she lived her life even when she gets hurt. We get to see the intricacies of her her relationship with her best friend Della and how certain things that are obvious to the reader go unseen by Sissie.
This is a great book about taking what life throws at you and making the best you can with what you've got.
The narrator did a great job with the characters. The voices were authentic and felt real. The he emotions clear and engaging. I loved this book.
