About this listen
Harry is the best and technically the 'only' at what he does, being the lone professional wizard PI in the Chicago phonebook. So when the Chicago PD has cases that transcend mortal capabilities, they come to him for answers.
For the 'everyday' world is actually full of strange and magical things - and most of them don't play well with humans. Yet despite his precautions, Harry tends to stumble from crisis to drama in his dealings with the supernatural world - call it an occupational hazard.
Here, he unfailingly manages to get on the wrong side of werewolf, fae, and vampires alike. And that's where his own rather special powers come into play....
These bite-sized stories are tremendously entertaining and will leave you itching to explore more of Harry Dresden's world. And as well as eight short stories, this collection includes an all-new Dresden Files novella.

This is a collection of all the short stories that Butcher has contributed to other books. They are all on par with the main books and fit into the narrative at different points.
It also offers insight into some of the other characters, mainly Thomas and Murphy.
If you're a Dresden fan, this book is is a must, if your new to Dresden, start with the Files books first.
Great stories and saves you money!

Even without Harry the characters are holding their own corners, fighting the good fight.

Any additional comments?
Personally I've never been a big fan of short stories as I always want more background/storyline. However, as I'd just finished a marathon run with the final three books in the series and was having withdrawal symptoms, I was very grateful to happen upon this book and Working for Bigfoot, both of which I enjoyed and helped delay the final feeling of loss at not having any more stories to read!! I'd recommend it!Very enjoyable... for short stories!

awsome all round

We see the impact Harry had on those around him, the way certain characters met and small moments that carried a lot of weight.
Like he was reliving his life as it flashed before his eyes. We also saw things he could t have known about. Or at least gave no sign that he knew about them.
It feels like the perfect place to pause between Changes and Ghost Story.
Perfect go between
