Summary

There are no secrets that time does not reveal…

Bristol 1937

The year is 1937 and the country is still reeling from the abdication of King Edward the Eighth the year before.

His brother, the Duke of York, has become King George the Sixth and will be crowned in May.

The country is on a high. Union Jacks are being dusted off and bunting is being made. Thelma, Jenny and residents of Coronation Close are all a buzz with planning the street parties and celebrations for the great day.

But behind every door shameful secrets and sins linger on Coronation Close, just bubbling to expose themselves…

Lovely Story

Having listened to the first book, I just had to tune in to the second one. Beautifully written and wonderfully narrated. The second book is as enthralling as the first. Can't wait to start the final book in the series.

Another lovely story

As soon as the book started I was transported right into theses people's lives. I so hope they'll be a lot more following the lives of the people who live in the close

Another Lizzie Lane book

She’s like a Bristolian Catherine Cookson.
All Lizzie Lane books are a great read and I highly recommend them. Now which series to download next ?.

A great second installment in the series.

I enjoyed this book as much as the first one. A family saga that had me hooked right from the start. Mainly focusing on the lives (and loves) of Jenny, Thelma and Cathy. The story continues right where the first book finished. Told with sensitivity where needed, as well as snippets of humour, set in the middle to late 1930s, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm glad the next book is now available.
