About this listen

Christian Kringle: college professor, reluctant Santa, and...fake dating my neighbor?

I'm a grinch and proud of it—but this year, there’s no avoiding the Christmas cheer.

First, I get roped into playing Santa. Shudder. Then, while trying to dodge a setup with my boss' brother, I somehow promise to attend a holiday party with my boyfriend—who doesn't exist.

Next thing I know, my (soon-to-be former) best friend has set up a profile on a hookup app to find me a date. With the username of...wait for it...SantaWantsYourChimney.

Go ahead and laugh. He sure did, the traitor.

Before I can delete the profile, I match with an easygoing guy with amazing photos. His teasing about Santa kink makes me laugh, and blush, and feel things I haven't since my divorce. For the first time in years, I look forward to dating.

Until we meet, and he turns out to be my neighbor. My very young, very off-limits neighbor who I've clashed with for years. Only now I know just how sexy, charming, and sweetly devoted to his daughter he is.

I should walk away, but I still need that fake boyfriend. The only problem? Jaxson's so convincing I can't tell where the pretense ends and real feelings begin.

Falling for him is easy. Loving his daughter? Effortless. Trusting that I can keep them is the hard part.

It'll take the magic of love, family, and yes—even Christmas—to teach this old grinch new tricks.

Sexted by Santa is a stand-alone holiday romance set in the Thrust into Love universe.

Add this one and to your holiday tbr!

I've been really enjoying this series since the start, and while this one seems to have a slightly different tone, it is still just as good as those that come before it. A grinchy professor and a stubborn single dad don't seem like they'd make the best pair, but Jamison nails it as always. Highly recommend adding this one to your holiday TBR!

Brilliant Christmas Romance

Adorable.
Grumpy Santa.
A realistic kid.
And MCs that communicate.
The audio is brilliant. I loved it just as much on the listen through. I knew what was coming and it still made me cry.
The whole thing was a joy from start to finish.

Wonderful holiday romance

A Scrooge and a single dad connect on a hookup/dating app and a beautiful romance begins.
Christan feels wronged by the spirit of Christmas through a series of unfortunate circumstances throughout his life that always seem to occur at Christmas.
Jaxson is dealing with single parenthood and a child with a difficult issue.
As they connect both come to the realization that family and love are worth the inherent risks.
There was some mild angst, plenty of humor, steamy moments and an absolutely realistic approach to dating.
Nick J. Russo is a favorite narrator and as usual did an excellent job narrating.

Fabulous story and narration

Xmas
Enemies to lovers
Fake boyfriend

Christian Kringle is a Professor who hates Chistmas (for good reasons). He would do anything for his aunt though and gets roped into dressing up as Santa for 3 events. Also, he tries to get out of his boss trying to set him up with his brother by telling him he is in a relationship and the boss wants proof at the holiday party. After venting to a friend, said friend males a dating profile for him to meet someone to take on the date. He immediately matches with a great guy. After lots of time bonding they agree to meet and he finds out it's his neighbor. His younger neighbor who is a past student of his and whom he has a history of feuding with. Caught off guard and tempted to walk out, he stops himself cause he really did like him online and he does desperately need a date. Not only for his bosses party but also to his aunts holiday dinner where his ex husband will be.

Jaxson is a single dad. He works tons to make ends meet and spends the rest of the time taking care of his daughter who has diabetes. He is super overprotective about leaving her with others. He has no time for a man but he uses a app to socialize online and occasionally hookup. He does make this clear but he enjoys daily conversations with this one guy that he just clicks with. He agrees to meet for a casual hookup. Once he gets over his shock at seeing his grumpy neighbor, he agrees to go on 2 fake dates.

I absolutely loved this heartfelt story and couldn't put it down. The characters are all wonderful. Not only the 2 MCs but also the adorable daughter. At the very beginning Christian took being grumpy to a whole other level and I wasn't sure if I was going to like him but he very quickly changed and I really loved him too. He has a sweet heart and has just been hurt way too much in his past. They were perfect for each other and had instant sparks and majorly hot chemistry. This story is really well written and definitely no instalove. There is a wonderful organic relationship development. This was a wonderful holiday story. It's sweet, low-med angst and very steamy. I absolutely recommend it.

An adorable holiday romance

Christian and Jaxson's sweet holiday romance hit me right in the feels. I'm always a little apprehensive about listening to holiday-themed stories, because sometimes they can feel over-the-top, but this book was nothing like that. Christian's grinchy attitude at the beginning gave me a bit of a chuckle, but his fake-boyfriends arrangement with Jaxson quickly turned into something much more sincere and loving. The two of them had me practically giddy with happiness as they explored what it would mean to be more than a casual hookup, and once I got to know Jaxson's adorable daughter I knew that was it for me. I fell head-over-heels for the three of them, and watching the holiday spirit bring Christian and Jaxson closer together was heartwarming. Jaxson was a hard worker and incredibly devoted dad, and the way that he continued to prioritize Tori instead of his newfound romance spoke to his maturity as an individual. That's not to say that he and Christian didn't find time to be together, because they certainly did, but the pace of their relationship was understandably slower. If anything, the slower burn made Jaxson and Christian's romance even more enticing to me, and knowing how little time they had made their every interaction feel more meaningful. With so much of this story's focus being on the characters, I felt incredibly connected to and invested in their well-being. The transformation in Christian's happiness was obvious, but even Jaxson's stress and guilt receded as he trusted his partner to be there for him. When their relationship was put to the test it did break my heart to see old fears and insecurities come roaring back to life, but thankfully Jaxson and Christian worked through it instead of letting stress and miscommunication tear them apart. Their journey came to such a wonderfully happy ending that I can't even be sad about not getting to read any further into their lives together.

Single dad, grumpy professor, a cute kid; loved it

I read this book with my eyes when it was first released and I loved it. The only thing I can add to my original review (shown below) is to say what a great job Nick J. Russo did performing the audiobook. That’s not really a surprise, though. Nick always does a fantastic job and it’s one of the reasons he’s on my list of favorite audiobook performers.

Original review:
This is a sweet and sexy Christmas story. I love the dynamic between Christian and Jaxson. They are neighbors but never really speak to each other until they meet after chatting through a hook-up app. Both of them are stunned when they realize they’ve been texting with their neighbor.

Christian and Jaxson have a history… Christian was Jaxson’s advisor when he was in college and he strongly encouraged Jaxson to stay in school and not drop out. When his advice wasn’t followed Christian let Jaxson know that he didn’t approve.

I just can’t say enough good things about this story. I love the reluctant Santa aspect, I love Christian’s interactions with Jaxson’s daughter, Tori, and I love how Christian and Jaxon are able to work out their problems and quickly get over the bump in their relationship.

I’ve said it before but I’ll keep saying it: I think DJ Jamison’s writing just keeps getting better and better. It’s an honor to be a beta-reader for her. I always look forward to receiving something new from her to read.

A copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request and my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

Loved, loved, loved it!

Loved, loved, loved it!
A younger single dad, struggling to juggle parenthood, work and taking care of his sweet little girl, who’s been recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. A grumpy, stuffy Grinch of an older college professor, who hates everything about Christmas. They are neighbours, they’ve been clashing since Jaxson was still in college before dropping out. How did they end up anonymously connecting and hitting it off on a dating app? And more than that, how did they end up fake-dating when they find out who they really are in person? And where will this lead them?
The book is a well-written mix of sweet, sexy and funny. Both characters are good, but the real star is Tori, Jaxson’s 8 year old going on 20!
As always, great performance by Nick J Russo!

A heartwarming story

Sexted by Santa is an entertaining, humorous, and heartwarming Christmas book that I highly recommend.
Ever since his ex handed Christian divorce papers at Christmas, he has had nothing left for Christmas. And when he's more or less talked into stepping in as Santa Claus, it's no wonder Christian acts more like a Grinch than Santa. At first, Christian comes across as a bit distant and cold, but the more I learned about him, the more sympathetic he became.
Jaxson, on the other hand, struggles through life. He's a single dad and along with his daughter Tori, he's been going through difficult times since Tori's diabetes diagnosis.
Through a dating app, Christian meets someone who seems to get along well. But when the two meet, there is a big surprise.
I really liked the story and little Tori won my heart in no time. She is an absolute highlight in the book. I loved Jaxson from the beginning because he lovingly takes care of his daughter and she is always his first priority.
The story is sweet, heartwarming and romantic and kept me captivated. It was nice to see the relationship develop and Christian change for the better.

The audiobook was narrated by Nick J. Russo and he did a fantastic job. It was a pleasure to listen to him and I really liked his interpretation of little Tori. He has a very pleasant voice and brought the characters to life wonderfully.
Sexted by Santa is a marvelous Christmas story with a happy ending.

Great romance audio!

This series is really good so far, & this book is no exception. I love all the characters, and of course, Torre steals the show & hearts all over! Jax & Santa Daddy (love that nickname) are funny & hot & frustrating & awesome & swoontastic together, tho they take some bumpy roads & scary curves along the way to their HEA - yes, and Torre's too!
Excellent job yet again (as always) by Nick J Russo! He brings that extra spark of emotion & life into every aspect of the story, most especially the characters' attitudes, personalities, and interactions - the banter & snark is abundant & I loved it.

Absolutely perfect Holiday listen!

This was a wonderful holiday story so I knew, done right, it would be an amazing audiobook. Nick J Russo took DJ Jamison’s vision and brought it to life! Christian sounded exactly like I thought he should and Nick’s performance of Jaxson, Tori and the rest of the side characters was spot on. It was fun, heartwarming and emotional - fantastic story!
