Summary

The day Sadie Thompson finds her high school student, Lexie, asleep in class and can't wake her is the day she realizes how entrenched a prescription drug ring is in her school. As Sadie is pulled into doing something about the growing problem, she becomes involved with Ethan Stone - a Texas Ranger who suspects the drug ring reaches far beyond the high school. Helping Lexie recover from the overdose, Sadie feels she is making a difference - until the 16-year-old's best friend dies from the apparent mixing of various prescription drugs. Lexie doesn't think her friend took her own life, but her relationship with her uncle, Ethan, is precarious, and she doesn't know if either he or Sadie will help her discover the truth.

Vulgarity not nacessary to read a good book!!!

I will have to say reading this series was such a blessing, there was no vulgar language at all. Books sound so much better without vulgarity there are other ways to get the point across

This one makes you want to watch your teen!

High school teacher, Sadie Thompson, can’t believe that one of her students is dead...and it wasn’t suicide! Apparently it all started at a ‘pill party’. As her brother, police chief Cord Thompson, and childhood friend, Texas Ranger Ethan Stone, investigate, it becomes obvious that the teens are hiding something. When Sadie finds one of students unresponsive in class, she becomes more involved...especially since the teen is Ranger Stone’s niece!
This book is the best in the series. The author does an excellent job handling the seriousness of prescription drug abuse. Lots of drama and the ending will surprise you. Highly recommend this series.

Captivating

So ultimately capturing the age of drugs and their destitution to utterly every age of humanity. I wept remembering how it destroyed the life of my mother at the age of only 26 years. Very depicting saga of truths we face everywhere and in all encompassing sagas of why so many face these demons. Well done, Ms Daley, indeed! Another grand performance, Ms. Robins!

Great series!

Good character development as the story progresses, with a surprise ending!! I appreciate a plot that is able to move at a good pace, and also weave in a faith story without feeling pushy.

Fast Paced Mystery

I loved the mystery plot, characters and romance in this intriguing book. It has a timely main subject. I appreciate how prayers/reliance on the Lord was appropriate, not overdone. Thank you M. Daley! Keep on writing!

Enjoyed listening to this book

This book was really good. I love trying to figure out the mystery. The who done it & why. I like the characters. Again it was an emotional roller coaster. It was sad too because it maybe a fictional story but it does happen in real life too. I feel it can be an eye opening for some young children to read or listen to.

I like these

I’m not much of a writer, but I enjoy these mysteries and the characters that are formed.
