About this listen
They call them the Serpents.
Knox, Mason, Silas.
These sick, twisted psychos are the untouchable elites at Cinderhart Academy.
I'd never get involved with such dangerous guys despite how gorgeous, rich, and influential they are.
But after I witness them committing a sadistic crime, I'm dragged kicking and screaming into their dark, depraved world.
If they plan to break me, they're late to the party.
Nim Winters isn't the same girl who stumbled onto their crime scene a few months ago.
I have nothing to left to lose.
The Serpents? They have everything...but not for long.
Serpents is a dark college bully romance where the heroine has multiple love interests...and gets a HEA with all of them in book three.
TW: This book contains scenes depicting graphic violence, mature content, and plenty of triggers.

Interesting beginning
I am intrigued to see where this story is heading especially with the questions surrounding the death of Nim’s parents and whom is sponsoring her to attend college. I am also intrigued by the guys and what led them do what they did in the woods. I cannot wait to listen to the next two books in this series.

Outstanding
This is a brilliant book. I was hooked from the very first chapter. The characters are well written and the balance between dub con and non con is perfect. A fantastic performance.

Very dark
I really liked how hooked this storyline made me, I couldn’t put this down and read this in an entire sitting. However, the boys treated our fmc extremely harshly at the start which wasn’t for me.

Loved the dual narration of Chloe Ryan and Benjamin Sands
Wow these characters are cruel, sick and twisted and bullying. You will find yourself shouting at them and shouting for our heroine. Who is tough and keeps fighting.
You have been warned, don't throw your audible book across the room.

Trust the process!
Despite having read this book before, I found myself completely engaged while listening. So much so I wanted to go straight to the next book! Chloe Ryan's performance as Nim connected with me so much more than I had reading her on page and I really enjoyed Ryan's take on the character.
Trust the process as these characters are so brutal in their bullying of Nim. Knox, Mason and Silas are awful to the FMC, Nim and although the seeds of attraction are being sown, it is more of an obsession than a connection at this point with little romance. Knox at least recognises this and although Mason isn't great either, Silas in particular with his slapping Nim in the face more than once really got under my skin and the redemption arc is going to need to be epic. Each to their own and if Nim was into it then fine but as these parts were non-con and none of the other MMCs tell him to back off it is absolutely no wonder Nim that has zero guilt at her actions later.
Nim really just can't catch a break and has so much thrown at her; Romi is the closest thing to an ally she is but she is left on her own to deal with most of the trauma and bullying. There are some really tough parts and there are no real light moments to balance it out; it was hard reading Nim being stripped bare emotionally and physically throughout the story whilst everything that could go wrong, does. The mysterious atmosphere around Cinderheart though is what makes me want to keep reading as the history and the control of this town is really intriguing. Nim may be at rock bottom now but I am rooting for and want to her rise back up again.
My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read

Dark Why Choose College Romance
Serpents by Logan Fox is a dark why choose college bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Chloe Ryan and Benjamin Sands. This is the first book in the Serpents of Cinderhart Academy series.
This is the first book of Logan's that I have read and it won't be my last. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. I loved getting Knox, Mason, Silas, and Nim’s points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
The book ended on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can’t wait for the next book in the series Savages to be released on audio.
Benjamin and Chloe did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you’re looking for a dark romance, bully romance, academy romance, or why choose romance.
