Healing within
One of the most powerful ways to heal is to listen to the stories and kind words of others who have gone through the healing process. The thing that struck me was that it was first and foremost essential to love and be kind to yourself. While you can't control the world around you, you can control the words you say to yourself each and every day. In addition to this, by building positive relationships, it becomes easier to believe the positive words that you tell yourself, as your loved ones will also reinforce those positive messages. The audiobook spells out that you can learn to heal from traumatic experiences and become a stronger person because of it.

Self-love vs narcissism
This audiobook about self-love has been an enjoyable book to listen. The book made a clear definition of what self-love is and what is narcissism, how these two words differ from each other. The author shared some of her personal experiences growing up as a black child, and how she feels about herself. This books delves into the deeper meaning of self love. While to other women. Self love is pampering yourself… this book is more than that. It’s finding and appreciating your true self.
