Summary

Clean slice-of-life women's fiction with a romantic thread and Christian elements.

Every small town has its secrets. Darcy’s have been locked up inside her since that last summer when she left Wimber, Texas, and the boy she loved for a glitzy life in Los Angeles.

Seven years later, her gran’s passed away. Darcy’s been named as the sole owner of the Tangled in Time antique store. Darcy can’t wait to get back to the place where she’s always felt she belonged. But owning a business isn’t as easy as it seems. And sometimes the past is better left alone.

But Darcy is determined to push forward, despite the obstacles that cross her path. And maybe even have another chance to be with the man who stayed behind.

Heartwarming

I fully enjoyed this heartwarming tale of a city girl finding herself again in her small town memories and charms. This reminded me so much of my gran and what she taught me. It is a feelgood book that leaves you reminiscing.

Secondhand secrets

Inheriting your grandmother’s business and home provides the fresh start she was looking for. Getting away from her parents and ex was just what she needed. Running in to old friends and making new ones just what the Dr ordered! Until her dad and ex show up and a local is trying to run her off. But she only digs in deeper. And finds amazing family secrets. Fantastic narration.

Entertaining

What a fun way to spend the day listening to someone read while getting things done. The reader had a smooth voice and the characters were well distinguished by the intonations of her voice.
The story centers around a young single adult who inherits her grandmother’s shop. While there, she discovers more than simple trinkets in the shed out back. She finds friendships, value, her place in the world, and love as well as a secret that is worth more than money can buy.
I’m glad this was the first book in the series, because I’d think the ending abrupt if this was where the story ended. Thankfully after all we go through with the main character, Darcy, we have more to look forward to in the next book.
This is a clean read, and suitable for middle school readers on up.
