Summary
Shy, awkward Sophia Cruz has a hard time telling her vivacious identical twin “no”. But when her sister begs her to swap places for a modeling shoot, she caves...again. Then Zephirin Black walks onto the set. The brooding, aloof, and gorgeous tight end for the Washington Warriors. But she can keep it professional.... She has to. Because the adorkable Cruz twin has no luck with guys once they compare her to her sister.
After a bad break-up, Zeph hasn’t been big on second chances - and even less with trust. But he finds himself giving please-call-me-by-my-middle-name-Sophia both. The woman he’d dismissed as a spoiled cover model is different from the first time he met her. Quirkier. Funnier. Definitely sexier. What started as one night turns into another...and another...and another....
Still, Sophia can’t go on keeping her secret from him. But telling Zeph the truth will mean losing him for good.

Fun and hot story
This was such and easy and fun read. And while I felt the twin switch story a bit loose, I really like Zephirin and Sophia together. Zephirin and Sophia have this crazy chemistry that seems out of control. How it that conflicts with Sophia’s decision to keep the ruse going, is a little much. So many opportunities to come clean and yet she doesn’t. Also, a lot of the idea that Sophia was so different didn’t make sense when she took her sister’s place in the photoshoot. But the story is still good because of the coupling and the narration really bumped it up for me. It makes me want to know more about the world these characters are in. I love when an author can do that.

weak h
This review is more about the author and her h's. I've listened to 2 of her books 📚 and so far her h's are weak door mats its sad and just upsetting. I like to think most women in real life are strong and are not door mats and if they do bend for their partner once maybe twice depending on what it is and thats a big maybe, but over and over and over is just sad a pathetic and make women look bad and stupid.

Tantalizing storyline that keeps you wanting more
It's great to read and hear diversity in the romance genre. This Nina Simone is an author who encapsulates you in her realm. while reading, you feel like a best friend invested in how the story plays out. I would recommend this title to a new listener to the genre, or the well-versed readers.

scorching hot sports romance with lots of feels
This is the first of the WAGS series and I really enjoyed it. Naima wrote some series scorching hot sexy times but this story has a lot of heart and I really enjoyed the MCs. Sophia and Zeph are fun together and even though they started with a lie, I still root for them because I felt invested in their relationship. Sophia is a geek and is multi lingual so bravo to CJ for doing all the languages and made them sound authentic. Even Tolkien elfin. :)

too much sex and not enough story.
I know it was a love story but it was way too descriptions of the couple having sex and not enough meat of the story line. Just my opinion.

Touchdown
I read this book and absolutely loved it. Zephirin Black (Zeph) is a football player that has trust issues and Sophia Cruz is a computer geek but she takes her sisters place as a model. What Sophia didn’t expect was to hit it off with Zeph and even though they agreed that it was going to a one night only thing, they both want more. Can they really have more since they have lies between them.
This is a great story that I could not put down and Naima Simone did not disappoint.
