Wonderful to be with the Gallos again!

Another wonderful entry into the Gallo family series. They are a little crass, a little crazy, but oh so fun and crazy. This story follows Luna and Nevin. Luna was awesome- sunshine but take no prisoners- there were multiple times throughout the book where she took care of herself when faced with really awful situations and I laughed in glee as she showed up the men who refused to accept "no". Ah, I really wished I had her gumption in real life! Nevin was the grump to her sunshine and I love grumpy sunshine romances so that was fantastic. I have to admit that I didn't see the connection initially but after a while, their connection built so well and really made an impression. These stories are short, full of humor and love and family. So great to get back into this family!

The audiobook is narrated by Lance Greenfield and Samantha Brentmoor. I'm a big fan of these narrators and while I thought Lance sounded a little older than I pictured, they both did well and kept me entrenched in the story.

Beautiful Story!

This is book 10 in the Men of Inked Heatwave Series, a next generation of the Men of Inked Series. Nevin and Luna's slow burn romance is beautifully written, emotional, and sweet. I liked the little suspense in the story. Luna is such a wonderful character, beautiful, kind, caring, and smart. She is Rosie's twin sister (from Ashes, book 9 in the series). She is best friend with Ian, Nevin's little brother, who tasked her to look out for Nevin. Nevin, ex-con, is handsome, and very supportive, and protective. Their story is beautiful, and engaging! The supporting characters are great. I love the Gallo's family! They are awesome, and they add a good humor in the story/series. Lance Greenfield and Samantha Brentmoor did an excellent job with the narration. I enjoyed it! Looking forward to listening to Torch, the next book in the series. I HIGHLY recommend the Men of Inked Heatwave series and the Men of Inked series.

I loved Nevin and Luna's story

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I simply cannot get enough of the Gallo’s. These stories are more than the romance between each couple, and I cannot express how much I enjoy the full family dynamic that Chelle Bliss gives us with each story. My absolute favourite parts are when you get to revisit your favourite characters at Sunday dinners with the whole family. I love the witty banter and the comical group text conversations between the cousins.

Lance Greenfield was an amazing choice of narrator to portray Nevin Walsh’s character. His deep gravely voice really helps you feel all that Nevin has gone through.

Gotta Love Those Gallo’s

Another enjoyable read from Chelle Bliss. I loved Luna’s sassy attitude she’s such a bright light to this story. It’s great to hear all the extended family and all the little contributions they all make to creating this well crafted story. I found Nevin’s character to be a bit grumpy and hard to take but he turned around and I enjoyed the relationship that ended up forming between him and Luna.

Great Narration by Samantha Brentmoor and Lance Greenfield as always.

Wanted more

I have been following these Gallos since their parents got together. I love them and everything about them. I enjoyed this book from start to finish, however I feel like something was missing. I could have used more details about certain aspects of this book. The narration was absolutely spot on just like all of Chelle’s books. If you haven’t checked them out. You need to start with the men of inked series. You will NOT be disappointed.

Seriously great narration of a fabulous story.

It was so great to be back with the Gallos again. It is absolutely no secret that Samantha’s in my top 2 female narrators. I go gaga over Sam’s male voices and am always so impressed, (not sure why it shocks me every time because seriously, I should know and expect nothing less from her) by the fact that she is able to voice the family text convos with 50 million different voices consistently. That is some serious voice acting skills.

So this one’s Luna, Rosie from ASHES’s twin sister. She’s a Gallo girl through and through and falls for the brother of her bestie who’s just been released from prison. This was a low angst, high heat but in a sweet and nurturing rather than a slamming possessive kind of way. Luna and Nevin are tasked with looking out for each other by Nevin’s brother Ian who’s Luna’s best friend. There’s a little touch of forced proximity due to a hurricane and although Luna’s a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to storms she’s a boss when it comes to defending herself. With a smidgey bit of suspense this book ticked all the boxes.

My fave thing with this series has to be all the family chat text messages. It’s great to see all the different couples and cousins making appearances.

As I said before Sam smashes the narration on this one. Easily flipping between allllllll the voices and bringing her signature sass to Luna. Lance gives us a more sensitive side to Nevin and I was here for it all. Another great book in the Men of Inked Heatwave series.

Nevin & Luna!

What happens when you give up part of your life to save your little brother? Nevin is about to find out. Settling back into civilian life after 10 years in jail isn't easy. But Nevin's brother, Ian, has asked Nevin to watch out for his best friend, Luna Gallo while he is away, and this woman who exudes sunshine may be the one thing that can help him. There is an instant chemistry between these two, but the whole brother's best friend thing keeps getting in the way. Plus Luna's family has always looked down on Nevin's, right? In for a whole new look at life, Nevin is treated to a world he never thought he would find. But can it last once he gives in? This is a beautiful, fun and flirty story, the perfect addition to the Men of Inked: Heatwave series. I love coming back to hang out with the Gallos, they have become my family too! It's like coming home. The feelings that Chelle Bliss pours into this story are real, and I could feel each one as Nevin and Luna traveled on their journey. Having Dylan close by is just a plus! Sweet, slow burn with passion this is a fabulous listen.

Lance Greenfield and Samantha Brentmoor always make my ears happy, and with this story, I was thrilled. Greenfield plays Nevin with a gloomy broodiness, and we can feel hear his change as the story progresses. Brentmoor does a phenomenal portrayal of Luna, tuning into her personality and bringing the light that she is. This team knows how to entertain!

Loved it! Great Story, Characters & Narration🎧

Chelle Bliss pens another amazing “Men of Inked: Heatwave” novel and, like the rest of the books in the series, I loved everything about it, from her wonderful writing style to the characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. It is always great to visit Chelle Bliss’ Gallo world and this tenth book is Luna Gallo and Nevin Walsh’s story. Luna is City and Suzy’s daughter and sister of Gigi and Rosie and Nevin is her best friend Ian’s brother. Nevin sacrificed ten years of his life for taking the fall for his brother’s crime, because he had a better chance of surviving prison and his brother, Ian, had a better chance battling his health issues as a free man. Ian’s health improved, but his conscience could no longer allow his brother to pay for a crime he committed, so he turned himself in and confessed to the crime. He asked Nevin to look out for Luna while he was serving time and Luna took it upon herself to look out for Nevin, except he did not need or want to be looked out for. Jail has hardened Nevin, and he needs to adjust to life on the outside, he does not ask for help or accept any favors, plus he is still unsure what people think of him, including the Gallos. Surprising to him, they accept him with open arms and Luna does not give up on him and he comes around. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and when they finally give in, it is explosive. This wonderfully plotted story not only captivated my attention from start to end, it tugged on my heartstrings as well, there is plenty of drama, heartfelt emotions, a touch of angst, and some steamy romance. There are some great Gallo family scenes too, it is always a treat to be in the room of their family gatherings. Chelle Bliss, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧And for the amazing narration, Samantha Brentmoor and Lance Greenfield continue to do an exceptional job portraying the characters, humanizing them, capturing all their emotions and having you feel every single one. I love how they take each role, run with hit and make it their own, sounding believable and just how I picture the characters to sound. Their character voices are consistent and the quality of the audio is top-notch. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Love the alpha men and strong women!

I’m sure I say this every time Chelle Bliss releases a new book. However, Scorch has got to be my most favorite audiobook from Chelle Bliss at this point. The Men of Inked series has been some of my absolute favorite stories. I love the strong alpha men that fall for their fierce women. In this story, we have Nevin. He’s just recently been released from jail for a crime he did not commit. He took the blame for someone else and that other person came forward and admitted their guilt. So, Nevin was released but is still struggling to get a job after 10 years in jail. He’s having a hard time with all the people, with all the decisions, with everything that he is allowed. Plus, he’s angry that this person took the blame for this crime when his time was almost up… totally messy. Luna is a friend of the family, her sister married one of Nevin’s brothers. She’s dedicated herself to helping Nevin and becoming on of his friends. They’re both battling a heavy dose of attraction though and it’s only a matter of time before it combusts.

The narration by Lance Greenfield and Samantha Brentmoor was amazing. Both, Nevin and Luna, are strong characters so their narration needs to be just as strong. I feel like both Greenfield and Brentmoor did a great job in showing their characters strength. The men in this series are all alpha men but they have these deep hearts. I couldn’t get enough of Nevin and all his brother’s. I need them all to get more happily ever afters. They all deserve happiness!

Good Listen

Nevin does something that most would not do, he takes the blame for a crime he did not commit to save his brother. Now that his brother has told the truth about what happened, Nevin is angry that the truth is out and that his brother must now take his place. Luna is determined to make Nevin join in society but little does she know that it will lead to so much more. Nevin is not ready for the new world he is now in and where everyone no longer think of them as poor white trash and actually enjoys him being around.

glad he had a happy ending

actually a very sad story of abuse and no one being willing to help a bunch of mistreated kids. hard to listen to much of it. the gallos are a wonderful family but the enjoyment that comes from them couldn't outweigh the injustice for the kids. Don't plan on listening to this again.

Another Gallo Success!

Nevin Walsh selflessly did jail time for his brother. Now he’s out and has to adjust to a world he hasn’t seen in 10 years and all the changes his brothers have been through without him. Those changes include the Gallos, that family next door that didn’t like them. At least that’s what he thought. Now one brother is married to one Gallo girl and his other brother, Ian, is Luna Gallo’s best friend. Now Luna is all about making sure Nevin doesn’t avoid the care and support of the Gallos, specifically her care and support. This one is a straight up feel good love story with a stubborn alpha hero and a strong stubborn heroine. A great read!

Samantha and Lance do an excellent job bringing the Gallos and Walshes to life. Great emotion and characterization.

Nevin and Luna

Luna is Ian's best friend who is Nevin's brother. Nevin did ten years in jail to cover for Ian for a crime he didn't commit. Nevin, Ian, Dylan and the rest of the Walsh brothers dealt with a father who was abusive. After Dylan left Ian had too much and took a baseball bat to his father. Nevin was blamed and he felt like it was the best thing for his family. Ian was sick and Nevin wanted him to be able to get treatment and not worry.
Ian after going into remission decides to go to the law and let them know what actually happened and giving them the evidence that was never looked for.
Luna promised Ian that she would keep an eye on Nevin but that is not as easy as she thought it would be. Nevin is going to realize that the Gallo family is not like he thought and that they care about others.
I love that you can see how these two are growing as friends and more.

Love Nevin and Luna!

Once again Chelle Bliss delivers an amazing book. Luna is the spitfire daughter of Joe and Suzy who claims she will never settle down and has too much living to do. Nevin is a selfless and caring man who gave up almost 10 years of his life to save his brother. Now that Nevin is back to town Luna has made it her mission to help him find his way and enjoy life again.

This is one of the sweeter books in the Men of Inked series. It tugs on the heartstrings and you can’t help but enjoy Luna and Nevin’s journey to their happily ever after. This book is so good it can (and probably will) be read in one sitting.

Samantha Brentmoor and Lance Greenfield do an amazing job bringing Luna and Nevin to life. I could seriously listen to these two all day!!
