Summary

When Deputy US Marshal Danielle "Danny" Martin was told she'd gotten a promotion, she expected to be leading her own fugitive retrieval team. Instead, she got transferred to Pontian, Florida, of all places, and assigned to a Superhero support detail for Focus, a seemingly immortal superhero who is also one of the most famous lesbian icons on the planet.

Bad enough she's got to spend every day working with a woman she's had a crush on since she was five years old, but when she arrives at her new post, things start getting weird. It turns out that Focus asked for her by name, and it quickly becomes apparent that Focus wants to be more than just coworkers, or even friends.

After Focus has a violent reaction to Danny getting hurt in the line of duty, she starts looking into why the Superhero might be so fixated on her. She begins to suspect that seeing the future might be one of Focus's powers, but when a mission leaves her stranded thirty years in the past, right at the start of Focus's superhero career, everything becomes clear, except why the Focus in the past can barely seem to tolerate her presence.

We don’t need another hero, but yeah we do

Nothing Like a good super hero storyline with some fun twists and turns thrown in.
This one has a little bit of everything, enjoyable characters, creative with its challenges and bring on the science for the fiction.
And ofcourse a good bit of romance. Enjoyed the listen through with the various characters and hoping the next atory will get the same treatment.

Enjoyable…but Welsh..having said that

I’m enjoying this a lot, story is unique and enjoyable. I have to say being from the UK, I really don’t enjoy American narrators, but this one is Bearable. But then, the Welsh bit…no that’s terrible, that’s more like a bad Irish accent. I’m just gonna rewind and re listen,,,there is nothing Welsh about that effort, and it distracts me so much…it distracted me so much I’m writing a review, and now ive finished. I’ve been looking for a L book, that’s not soppy, and this I like. And I don’t mind the narrators voice…until the Welsh bit. Enjoyable, I hope there’s a second one, and no attempts at Welsh accent, but keep same narrator please. Even I can’t do that Welsh, it’s only about 20 miles away. Story is great so far…I was looking forward to getting home to continue listening.
