I 1918 hærgede den spanske syge verden over og slog flere folk ihjel end 1. verdenskrig. På et laboratorium i Sverige er det lykkedes en gruppe forskere at fremstille en usædvanlig aggressiv variant af virussen.
I en skov bliver tre dyreaktivister slået ihjel, og tæt på findestedet arbejder en tysk nynazist på at etablere en ny verdensorden.
