Summary

The scum hiding deep inside the Reach out along galaxy's edge thought they could kill her and not pay the price. For years these hardened killers have run roughshod over the lawless worlds where Republic justice is never as fast as the blaster in your hand and where double-crosses and death are a part of every deal. They thought this time would be no different.

They were wrong.

This time, the Guild sent the legendary bounty hunter Tyrus Rechs.

As the infamous Rechs pursues the men who murdered his colleague, he's hell-bent on justice, heedless of the trail of destruction he leaves across ruined worlds and fantastic gambling meccas alike. Because for Rechs, this isn't just another Guild contract...it's personal.

Everything you want from a space bounty hunter!

My first venture into the Galaxy's Edge Universe audiobooks certainly won't be my last. A quality performance and a great story

Ok

I will listen to the next one but that is based more on Ray Porter than the story. its not bad so hopefully the next one picks up a bit.

Good story but Ray spoils Rex

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan or Ray Porter from listening to the Bobiverse but his soft, it help desk voice, absolutely wrecks the image of General Rex.

Also, personally, I like to think or Rex as nigh on untouchable in a battle so having him limp through every encounter disappoints me somewhat.

Still a necessary listen for the back story of the man.

Distilled to perfection

This tale felt like a distilation of every sci-fi and action story, film and game I have enjoyed over the last four decades, and yet it is very much it's own entity, and a thoroughly enjoyable one.

The world and characters sucked me in and left me wanting more, and the authors have crafted so many intrigueing possibilities for future tales. Encore!

We need more

Excellent story, excellent performance. Would have preferred RC Bray as I associate Ray Porter with Joe Ledger series. Overall a well written and performed audio book. Please can we have more books based in this universe.

No gem but good book.

I have read some of the others reviews and i agree that the writing is not the best and there are some obvious potholes but i still enjoyed it.
A good action book with an interesting character.
I had read the first book in the Savage Wars series and know about the backstory of Rex. I did not get to the second but want to.
I am mentioning this because some complained about how he acts but I do not think it is unreasonable.

So it is entertaining and I am looking forward to the others but it is not very deep or groundbreaking.
Good action book.
