Summary
They’re coming for her, but first, they’ll have to go through him.
Grace was his first love, his forever, and then he lost her. He’d spent years watching from afar, knowing he could never have her again. The violence, the hate, and pain owned him. It took all the good away. It took her away. The mafia was the only thing that could curb his violent tendencies. Choosing to let her go was the hardest thing in his life, but he wanted her to be happy, safe, protected.
Then everything changed. The moment someone tried to hurt her he knew he had to step in. Grace might not have been his, but she would always be under his protection.
With his enemies coming for him, he knows they’ll do anything, kill anyone to get their revenge, and with Grace being the most important thing to him, he will have to do whatever he can to protect her, even if that means bringing her back into his dark and dangerous world.
The mafia owns his soul, but she’ll always own his heart.

Disappointing
Found the narrors and story slow and very boring. Narrors spoilt the story for me.

I really enjoyed this story.
I liked the characters Grace and Luke. Good chemistry and a nice ending. This story isn’t for the faint hearted or easily offended. Some may not like the sex and violence. I enjoyed the story, I look forward to more stories from the author.

Ok
Enjoyed the story, easy to listen to, first book I have heard by JL Beck and Cassandra Hallman, I'm still new to audible and getting to grips with it, Narrators were both OK and read each part well, definitely worth the read and I have recommended to my friends in the book world.

A rollercoaster ride with lots of adrenaline.
This story is dark and intense, and is certainly not for the feint-hearted as it could couse triggers for some readers due to the violence but if you like stories this, you will not be disappointed.
Luke and Grace has been through a lot but in the end they found their HEA.
The Rossi family series like a intense rollercoaster ride with lots of adrenaline rush.

50/50🤔
I didn’t love or hate this book. I found the story ok but I struggled with the character traits of the alpha lead. The female lead was meant to be a feisty ex abuse victim, but I felt she gave in far too easily for someone of that background.
All the themes were chucked in here…….hit man, dominant, trafficking, organised crime, abuse and anal virgins. I’m just getting too cynical 🙂 it’s almost like theses books have a checklist of hit points to make a good book. Not sure that’s really how it’s supposed to work!
I found they guy narrator really annoying when he did the female and the female narrator can’t do accents well. Sorry, but true.
It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t amazing either

Enjoyed this story, and I liked that the other characters were also included from the previous books.

Love JL Beck’s stories although they are not for the faint hearted. This was a good one though!

porn fantasy written by a 60 year old virgin
ingredients: throw in a bit of 50 shades, a massive helping of 365 days, don't forget a heavy dose of Stockholm syndrome and you got yourself this book. The epilogue sealed its fate for me. I feel cheated. I just spent 5 hours of my life mostly gaping in disbelief listening to the superficial storyline and barely held together plot with holes bigger than swiss cheese. Never have I been so compelled to leave a review if only to save others from the same fate.
