Summary

A lot of people worry about eating the “wrong” food. Well-funded campaigns have spent years convincing you that some foods are good, some are bad, and some are downright evil.

It doesn’t have to be that way. Relax and Enjoy Your Food uses science and a little common sense to take away all that anxiety, and save you some money to boot. Once you let go of some ideas, it all gets simpler. There are no superfoods, no junk foods, and there aren’t even any health foods. There is just food, all of which provides some combination of the same seven basic things that all food does. That’s why the most specific advice you can get is to eat a variety of foods, mostly plants, not too much or too little. That’s it.

The diet and wellness industries, along with the supplement industry, have deep pockets and ill intent. Their primary victims are women, but everybody gets caught up in their web. After listening to this book, you’ll be able to leave all that behind, eat a healthy diet, even reach and maintain a healthy weight. In short, you’ll be able to relax and enjoy your food.

Refreshing

It was very refreshing to listen to a book based in science and evidence. Although it isn’t primary a book on weight lose I would recommend it to anyone that wants to loose weight or has food anxiety or believes that sugar changes your child’s behaviour. This book will challenge your beliefs. It may also, (if you’re old enough.) remind you of the song “sun screen.”

Knowing what is real, ROCKS!

This is one of the most important books I’ve ever listened to. I can’t believe the things I have learned that I have been wrong about forever. I love being wrong about things, because that means, I won’t be wrong about that same thing again. Diets, supplements, organic, natural, GMO’s, and so many other great topics to note know the scientific truth about. He even tells us how to tell the difference between real science and those articles you read about with the latest discovery (or explorative science). Thank you so much for writing this and thank you for being on the Phil Ferguson Podcast, so I could discover your book. You ROCK!

Filled with great information

This is a must read for everyone who eats! I learned so much. It’s nice to have someone just give breakdown the things we’ve grown up believing, and just separate fact from fiction.

Solid evidence based advice that reduces stress.

This is fantastic resource for dealing with food in your life. I would recommend this for anyone as a great primmer for getting a healthy relationship with food in your life. I would especially recommend it for parents so they can create healthy relationships with food that will last a lifetime. I know that it has saved me stress and money already. The author is fantastic at reading his material and makes for a great audio book experience.
