Now he's on the trail of a crystal skull that he believes will complete his effots to evade Lucifer. But Lucifer wants Samuel's soul for eternity and refuses to wait a second longer for it. Now Isiah must protect Samuel and keep the Devil at bay, because Isiah needs Samuel's search for the skull to continue...not for Samuel's sake, but for the sake of all humankind.

Meh
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
This wasn't the best book I have listened to. The story is loosely put together and the POV is confusing at times. The story lacks alot of conviction to prose and details making me wonder what is happening when, to whom and why. Characterization is poor,
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrator has a short brunt aspect to his reading structure, emphasizing almost every word at the end of every sentence, He fails to present emotional strength to the characters dialogue as well as any significant characterization of who is speaking. Very monotone and not what i have come to expect and admire of more talented narrators.
Was RealmShift worth the listening time?
Not particularly worth the time to listen to.

Like the Story but the narration was ehh
Story was good, fast paced, and built to a good conclusion, I loved the theory on Balance also. But it appears from the vocabulary e.g. "torch" and a few other words that the book was written to be spoken with an English accent.
I think it would have been much better read that way.
Still worth a litsten and I ordered book two despite the narator.

Dark Urban Fantasy
What other book might you compare RealmShift to and why?
American Gods by Neil Gaiman. It has a dark, urban vibe and the author plays with mythologies and relgions.
