About this listen
Here, in her own words, she tells of her unexpected birth as an appendicitis, her spontaneous leap into the world of stand-up comedy, and her unplanned landing on the Red Dwarf spaceship.

Where are you now Hattie?
This was an amusing whistle stop bio with a bit of stand up thrown in, would have happily heard more!

so funny
I'd had a really bad day, I was stressed & needed a large stiff drink... The hour flew by & I was still chuckling on my way up to bed, drink barely touched abandoned in the kitchen......

"Holly from Red Dwarf."
A shortened version of Hattie Heyridge's autobiography told with clarity and humour. In two parts, the first is her childhood growing up, the second more about her growing up Into her career in comedy. A brief excerpt of a stand-up performance is included. I so wanted more.
Too short but otherwise fun. What, I wonder, is she doing now? More, please.
Random, Abstract Memory is a good title: the content provides what it says on the box.
Recommended to those who like to laugh and is available to download for free through the Audible Plus programme.

Funny but short
A brief account of Hattie’s early life, her start as a stand up comic and how she got into Ted Dwarf. Just a pity it is so short

Great quick audiobook for fans of Red Dwarf`
This underestimated celebrity comedienne is passed over for most things, yet this is a definite disservice for this naturally entertaining persona whose most famous role as Holly in the cult series Red Dwarf, was the highlight of her career. This is where most people's familiarity of Hattie Hayridge ends. This was my understanding of this semi-famous celebrity until I listened to this audiobook. Filled with her deadpan accented voice, the book provides a brief yet amusing timeline of her life, and this is perfect for her level of fame being what it is - fleeting but talented, superb quality yet overshadowed by the more significant lives of her colleagues.
I find myself drawn to this lady by her ability to show an introverted confidence backed by a rarely recognised level of bravery that many females find yet few are celebrated for. I smiled a lot whilst listening to this audiobook, and as I grew up with Red Dwarf, I know that it is worthwhile learning about the actors behind our favourite characters.
In summary, there was a significant amount of British talent uncovered in the making of Red Dwarf, and Grant & Naylor are one of my generation's status symbols, shaping a massive part of our culture through their influence on the lives of those of us who related to this fantastical yet "Heath Robinson" style scenery science fiction. Hollywood had its Aliens and Arnie, whilst we had the BBC's talent scouts.
This is well worth a listen!

Bouncy as a rabbit
An interesting look into her life with some funny points. Was unable to keep focused at times from the bouncing around but all the same still interesting to listen to and see how she got the part of Holly (Red Dwarf).

Shortened version
Although it's good to hear Hattie telling her story herself, this is only a shortened version of her full autobiography.
