Summary
What happens in the game, stays in the game....
Rabbits is a secret, dangerous and sometimes fatal underground game. The rewards for winning are unclear, but there are rumours of money, CIA recruitment or even immortality. Or it might unlock the universe’s greatest secrets. But everyone knows that the deeper you get, the more deadly the game becomes - and the body count is rising. Since the game first started, 10 iterations have taken place...and the 11th round is about to begin.
K can’t get enough of the game and has been trying to find a way in for years. Then Alan Scarpio, reclusive billionaire and alleged Rabbits winner, shows up out of nowhere. And he charges K with a desperate mission. Something has gone badly wrong with the game, and K needs to fix it - before 11 starts - or the world will pay the price.
Five days later, Scarpio is declared missing.
Two weeks after that 11 begins, so K blows the deadline.
And suddenly, the fate of the entire universe is at stake.
Rabbits by Terry Miles is an electrifying, compulsive listen based on the hit podcast from the Public Radio Alliance - perfect for fans of Stranger Things and Black Mirror.

Needs a better editor
This could have been really good. I like the postcasts to some extent - but just like those, it doesn't really go anywhere quickly.
Lots of faff and fluff in the first half of the book. It needs a much better editor to cut it and rearrange some parts, so it 'flows' much better.
The characters also need to be better developed.

Wonderful
Everything he’s involved with from Black Tapes, Tanis and the Last Movies to Rabbits is wonderful.
When does the UK get to listen to The Quiet Room?

it had me hooked
A story that blends a world with a refreshingly contemporary integration of tech in our lives like Ernest Cline, with a compelling tale that delivers a captivating hook in a similar vein to Luke Smitherd. I've really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The performance and editing is solid.

A bizarre journey of random associations.
You don't have to know any other work by Terry Miles to enjoy this book, but if you do there are some references just for you. This is firmly in the magical realism genre as the nature of the world is changed by the main character, known only as K, moves through it. Is it magic, science, computers, or the hidden patterns behind reality? Do we get an answer? Do we want one?
Like the rest of Moore's fiction this is surreal, threatening, tender, and funny in turns, he has a knack of creating lead characters that you care about.
Because of his background in audio media Rabbits works well as an audio book, traditional readers may desire a bit more exposition from the kind of our protagonist rather than the explanation coming from the mouths of the assorted supporting cast.

Fell Flat
Thia starts off very much in the vain of an Ernest Cline novel, mystery easter hunt etc. Book begins to run out of steam around half-way through. You get close to the end amd feel you are getting somewhere only for the end to fall overly ambiguous and flat.

Terry Miles does it again
Another fantastic production and story by Terry Miles. If you haven’t already, his podcasts are extraordinary as well.

Good acting but poor story.
I listened to the podcast and enjoyed it generally. I hoped they'd be able to bring a bit more depth and quality to this story but the plot is weak and full of convenient situations and vague moments. The first 3/4s of the story is "rabbits" "what the ****" and weak mystery. it's a shame as it had such promise.
