A small cast of characters, each well rounded and believable, in a well written, well paced story that twists and turns in a rollercoaster story that I thoroughly enjoyed. Great concepts well thought through. Loved the Mongrel!

Slower pace than in the first one, but more thought-provoking plot than in the Quantum Magician.

Künske continues with the hijinx of his motley crew. He expands the interesting universe he created in the first novel, bit focuses in examining the past of the Union in a bit more detail.

The story evolves around grandfather paradox and the multiple implications and problems of time travel.

Lot of the suspense of the first novel is there, but the feverish pace has given way to a story and pace with more room to breathe.

Can't wait to start the third one.

I very much enjoyed this series so far, I am about to begin the 3rd book and am very exited. Best Sifi author I have encountered since Greg Bear. The characters are excellently cratfer and have some very fun dynamics of interplay. The story is compelling, engaging, thought provocking, and at times chilling, and exhilarating in equilibrio mesure.
A far sighted and inspired science fiction novel, very original and stays away from easily predictable plot lines, keeping the reader guessing at every turn, not a clishay to be found !
