Sage is a woman with no time for games. She has teenagers to raise, a business to run and the father of her girls to manage...literally. So, when she goes on a date with JJ and he never calls again, she chalks it up to just another horrible date. Besides, she didn’t like JJ, his dimples, or his muscles covered in tattoos anyway. It’s those little lies that help you get through life!

JJ screwed up and he knows it! He went out with the woman of his dreams and like a moron never called her again. In his defense, life turned crappy right about then so he’s sure she’ll be understanding, it’s not like women hold onto grudges...okay, fine, he’ll need help plus a prayer to get Sage to forgive this colossal mess up.

But their story is far from over. After all, they’ve both been through enough bad times in their lives it’s only fair they get a happily ever after...right? Only trouble is, no one ever said life had to be fair.

The narrator was changed for this book. It sounded as if she was so bored,didn't really try to change between male and female voices.

I just love how this book is written. You have drama, action, love and comedy all wrapped up with a pretty bow. I caught myself laughing out loud a few times as well as sitting on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. Such a great listen!

This is a light and steamy romantic suspense, with hot SWAT men. The storyline is well-paced, and the main characters are interesting. Nikki Mays writes stories that I consider guilty pleasure books, the plot nor the characters are too complex. Never the less, her books are still enjoyable. Emily Curtindale's narration could be better. Her telling is somewhat monotone, taking away from the story. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Did the Audiobook meet your expectations?
This book was great. I enjoyed the witty banter between all the characters (especially the parents and children).

Did the narrator make it easy to follow the story?
I am not a huge fan of the narrator for this book. You can follow the story line, however it was difficult to distinguish which character she was trying to portray. I had to really try to figure out if it was JJ or Sage.

Did you find the narrator’s voice fitting for the main protagonists(s)?
Nope.

Do you recommend this audiobook and will you pick up more?
I really enjoyed the story but the narration was not great. If you are a fan of this series I would recommend you take a listen as the storyline is great. I will go and listen to Nikki’s other books.

If you want drama, comedy, and laughing out loud. Action and romance, loved the characters.

This was a fun read with lots of humour and sassy one liners that had me laughing.
I loved the male characters. They were really sweet despite their alpha male appearances.
I enjoyed this book and I'd quite happily listen to another one in the series.
