About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

Private Beijing is ripped apart after an attack leaves three agents dead and the head of the team missing.

With the Beijing branch in turmoil, Private's owner and global head, Jack Morgan, immediately gets on a plane from LA.

Soon after Jack lands in China, another Private office is attacked. It's clear that the entire organisation is under threat.

As Jack launches a global investigation from unfamiliar territory, he will need the loyalty of his team now more than ever.

Enjoyable Private story

It was enjoyable, well read. Not the best story, but not bad within the series

Entertaining

It was a bit hard to follow. But recognised Chinese names better then I expected.

Fantastic story!

Yet again, a fantastic storyline, and well read by the two narrators. Can’t wait to listen to the next one in the series!

Disappointing

Not as good as many of his other books, too many plot twists in different countries to follow.

Written for adults or children?

It was ok, but more a teen book, do not think I will listen to more

Beijing

Another fantastic read in the Private series. James Patterson and his co author should give themselves a huge pat on the back. Well done. Can’t wait for the next one.

Tongue In Cheek?

Such a disappointment. I have always enjoyed this author’s work but this was so trite and stereotypically all American military veteran hero good guy versus rogue foreign state actors bad guys as to be cringeworthy. More of a fairytale than an action thriller. Sorry to be so negative but I struggled to find any redeeming features.

Extremely poor on every level

Awful story, awful performance and a waste of money, I don’t recognise James Patterson in this production as the story line is so amateurish.
I leave five plus hours unfinished.
