About this listen
Presumed Guilty exposes shocking, never-before-revealed, exclusive information from the trial of the century and the verdict that shocked the nation.
When Caylee Anthony was reported missing in Orlando, Florida, in July 2008, the public spent the next three years following the investigation and the eventual trial of her mother, Casey Anthony. On July 5, 2011, the case that captured headlines worldwide exploded when, against all odds, defense attorney Jose Baez delivered one of the biggest legal upsets in American history: a not-guilty verdict.
In this tell-all, Baez shares secrets the defense knew but has not disclosed to anyone until now, and frankly reveals his experiences throughout the entire case - discovering the evidence, meeting Casey Anthony for the first time, being with George and Cindy Anthony day after day, leading defense strategy meetings, and spending weeks in the judge’s chambers.
Presumed Guilty shows how Baez, a struggling, high school dropout, became one of the nation’s most high-profile defense attorneys through his tireless efforts to seek justice for one of the country’s most vilified murder suspects.

interesting when compared with Jeff Ashton s book.
having first listened to imperfect justice I decided I wanted to at least hear the other side of the story. interesting they discuss many of the same events and incidents but from opposing sides.

Every story has 2 sides
I loved that this got a chance to be told. Shame on the media who always scandalise things and tell untruths.

Brilliant narration
Learnt so much about the American legal system. Actually believed Casey was guilty until this book-very gripping break down of all the evidence and a lesson in what justice really means

Great listen
I gave this five stars because over all it was an amazing case. But I didn’t know about the case as I live in the UK.
I felt I found out about things way too soon and eventually it made sense to an American reader or audiobook listener. I wonder how the girl/ woman is doing now and the lawyer. Thank you.

Went on too long
I listened to the whole book although sometimes I felt like giving up the ghost. Overall I enjoyed it as I am familiar with the story and also listened to the prosecutions side. Just felt like this story could’ve been cut by half. Went on too long

2 hours in & just wasted a credit
Following on from my previous review. I cannot listen anymore. This book isn’t about the little Kayleigh. This is about Beas trying to sell himself & justifies everything said in Jeff astons book about him. He has done nothing but preach about how excited he became & name dropping all the big companies that suddenly wanted to talk to him and how “this meant publicity for his name & company”. This was not about Kayleigh to him either; it was about publicity!!!! Disgusting

Not worth a credit
Unfortunately I only managed 4 hours in total before having to return the book because I was entirely uninterested and very much disliked the way the writer portrayed themself. In those 4 hours time, I have learned absolutely no facts about the case or the evidence, the writer seems only to describe his own whereabouts, with whom he spoke (but without giving any detail) and his interaction with the media. On the media, the writer appears highly hypocritical, initially explaining that he would use his own media appearances to pay for his travel so that he could speak with experts, but then later in the book criticises another individual for doing the same. I had hoped to be given a new perspective on the prosecution evidence to build an informed picture of the case, but instead am subjected to highly biased opinion with no explanation of any facts or evidence, and criticism of every other party except himself. It was not at all engaging and with no real story structure. Sadly I did not want to waste a further 11 hours to see if it got any better.
