Summary

The modern dad’s guide to fast, easy, and successful potty training lessons at home, even if this is your first child.

Is your little one ready to ditch the diapers, but you feel too nervous to start potty training?

Have you tried getting your child to go potty, but all your efforts have backfired so far?

Would you like to become a toilet training pro and help your kid become more independent?

As a super dad, you’ll soon discover that the fatherhood journey moves very first.

One day you’re learning to change diapers, and the next…potty training hits home!

Transitioning from diapers to the toilet is a huge step for both the parent and the child–it is a child’s first show of independence.

You may have already been bombarded with all sorts of advice, whether online, from the in-laws, or even some friends–some good ones, and others that just don’t make sense.

What you need to keep in mind is that children are like snowflakes–each is unique.

Your child's adaptability and personality go a long way in determining how easily they’ll grasp the new concept.

However, you don’t have to walk into this uncharted territory on your own–this guide will ensure you get everything right from day one.

It will empower you to pick what works best for your child to avoid power struggles, regression, and other potty training dilemmas.

In Potty Training Like a Pro, you’ll discover:

  • How to ditch diapers in less than one week and connect with your child like never before.
  • Bite-sized chunks of advice on what to do at each step of potty training to ensure you don’t get overwhelmed.
  • Age-appropriate moves: A guide on the cognitive, psychological, and emotional signs that your child is ready for potty training.
  • A comprehensive cheat sheet to ensure you have everything you need for a confident approach to toilet training (say goodbye to quick grocery store runs!)
  • Steps to take if your fully potty-trained child regresses–all is not lost!
  • On-the-job toilet training: How to keep your little one engaged on the toilet, including success tips to help you win in the end.
  • How to potty train children with special needs, depending on their particular challenges to get your toddler out of the diaper in no time.
  • An experienced dad’s perspective: Fool-proof strategies from the author’s experience of potty training three kids.
  • How to stay calm when the power struggles get out of hand.

And so much more!

The importance attached to toilet training may leave you anxious, making the process much harder than it should be.

From the pressure of ensuring your child is off diapers by the time they get to school to learning how to be patient with them, the process can be emotionally draining for you.

However, with these tricks, tips, and tools, you’ll have everything you need to end the mess and finally get your child to go on the potty all by themselves.

AVOID GETTING WIPED OUT!

Boy, do I remember potty training my youngest son. This book would have been a godsend back then! If you’re a dad or mom facing that inevitable season of potty training your child, you simply must listen to this very helpful book.
Can you actually transition your child from diapers to the toilet in less than a week? I was pretty skeptical of that claim, but after listening, it seems very doable in most circumstances.
The steps, the psychology, and even dealing with special needs children are all covered.
Also, I’m becoming a great fan of narrator Helpful Matthew. His slightly quirky voice is just perfect for the subject matter without losing any of its serious import.
Dad or Mom, just get this book, and there’ll be no chance of getting wiped out by potty training!
Highly recommended

Great Book.

I had a lot of trouble toilet training my two-year-old, so I decided to get this book to assist me with my own potty training. All of my friends have recommended it to me and told me how helpful it was for them when they were going through the process. Advice is provided on how to wean a kid off diapers in less than one week, age-appropriate stages to take, a potty training cheat sheet, measures to follow if a child who has been completely potty trained regresses, toilet training children who have special needs, and on-the-job toilet training. When power clashes get out of hand, the author's experience of toilet training three children gives foolproof tactics and ideas to keep cool.
This book is a must-read for both you and your kid if you want the process of toilet training to go smoothly and successfully for everyone involved. With the assistance of this booklet, parents may be certain that they will be able to properly educate their children to use the toilet.

Easy to follow steps

The author has knocked it out of the park again with another amazing book. I like that this book takes an approach for the modern world and does not assume the only the Mom’s will be the ones that are potty training their kids. And the stage they’re a lot of single dads out there and having a book that speaks directly to the Dads is pretty amazing. The book starts with dodging tand does not assume the only the moms will be the ones that are potty training their kids. In the same age, there are a lot of single dads out there and having a book that speaks directly to the dads is pretty amazing. The book starts diagnosing the nervousness and uncertainties that Dads may feel about starting potty training, but it also reassure his fathers that each child is unique, and the approach to potty training should be tailored to suit their child’s individuality.

The book emphasizes the importance of recognizing age-appropriate signs of readiness for potty training, considering cognitive, psychological and emotional factors. Throughout the book, the author is sure to empower Dads to make sure that they are making informed decisions throughout the process. The other includes a comprehensive cheat sheet needed for a successful potty training experience. I like that the book acknowledges the emotional stray they can come with potty training, and does not just make it all rainbows and sunshine for an experience.

Fantastic job to this author to making sure that there are valuable resources out there and make sure that Dads feel included in this process whether they are helping the moms or they are on their own.

Potty training 101

Having been a dad for the first time, i knew nothing about potty training and diapers and it filled me with fear knowing I would have to do it soon. This audible was great at helping to ease the nerves and to let me know what was to come. Chapter 3 and 4 are must-listen to chapters that all dads will have worried about and need to know for when it finally happens. Very useful audible that reduced the fear of the unknown by giving great advice which is well narrated.

Potty Training in Simple Steps

My husband and I both found this book to be very helpful and informative. The author breaks down the potty training process into bite-sized chunks, which made it much easier to follow along and not feel overwhelmed.
One of the things we appreciated most was the guide on age-appropriate moves. The book goes into great detail about the cognitive, psychological, and emotional signs that your child is ready for potty training. This was very helpful in knowing when to start the process.
The book also included steps to take if your fully potty-trained child regresses. This was reassuring to know that all is not lost if this happens. I particularly enjoyed the section on on-the-job toilet training. It provided success tips to help keep my little one engaged on the toilet. This helped me win in the end. Finally, the author's experience of potty training three kids provided fool-proof strategies that were very helpful. The book also addressed how to stay calm when power struggles get out of hand.
Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone who is about to embark on the potty training journey. It is full of practical advice and tips that will help you and your child connect like never before.

Potty Bootcamp!

The author, who became a single parent, shares his experience of potty training his three daughters. He notes that each one was different, and he had to try multiple strategies for using a reward system. He shares his experience focusing on mental readiness and different rewards for each child. The narration is informative, enjoyable, and entertaining. This is a must-read for new parents. Where was this book when I needed it 45 years ago?
