Summary

Siobhan Clarke ha estado investigando la muerte de un importante abogado cuyo cuerpo fue hallado junto a una nota amenazante. En el otro extremo de Edimburgo, Big Ger Cafferty -la vieja némesis de Rebus- ha recibido una nota idéntica y una bala a través de la ventana. Entre tanto, el inspector Malcolm Fox aúna fuerzas con un equipo de agentes de Glasgow que está persiguiendo a una conocida familia de gánsteres. Si su presencia en Edimburgo tiene que ver con el asesinato y las notas, quizás esté a punto de empezar una guerra por el control de la ciudad.
