About this listen
'One of the best British crime writers' – Lee Child
Roy Grace is about to find out just how dangerous a dead man can be . . .
Arriving late for a funeral, James Taylor spots a familiar face in the church – his old schoolfriend Rufus Rorke.
Except it couldn’t be him, could it? Because two years ago Taylor attended Rufus’s funeral. He even delivered the eulogy.
On the other side of Brighton, at Police HQ, Detective Superintendent Roy Grace has been alerted to a number of suspicious deaths that he can’t get out of his mind. But how are they linked? And could they possibly be connected to Rufus Rorke?
One Of Us Is Dead is the latest race-against-time instalment of the award-winning Grace series by Peter James, now a major ITV show starring John Simm.

James at his best
Another (page turner?) from James. As always a great listen and great story. Can’t wait for the next one

Grace is back!
So much better than the previous book. Good story line and not much on Roy’s personal life

Great storyline
This is the first Grace book I’ve listened to having seen the tv series and enjoyed it. It won’t be the last.

not bad at all
pretty good Grace book , but the author's ( who is usually excellent) attempt at the accent of Barbados was genuinely so bad 🤣. sounded Welsh amonglst other things .

One of the very best
Having read all the Roy Grace series I would consider this to be up there with the best. Had everything to keep you gripped from the beginning. Can’t wait for the next one.

Brilliant
Binged it in two days. Still the same high standard of writing and narration as the very first.

Insight into the existence of the criminal web
Peter James delivers yet another relevant crime story. Crypto currency and the criminal activities via the dark web is the theme for this with characters using 3 D printers in a very disturbing way of how the items cannot be traced. Thank you Peter for a very enjoyable read albeit via audio for my drive to and from work. You are keeping us on the edge of our seats with regards to Bruno and Pewe too. I can't wait for your next book

One of the best
I have read or listened to all the Peter James Grace novels and think this is one of the best. Good plotting and plenty of humour. Very well read

Fantastic! One of, if not his best yet!
Interesting, engaging, gripping and compelling.
I thoroughly enjoyed this listen. No slumps, no dead spots. I particularly enjoyed the novel and inventive ways the killer dispatched his victims. Thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish! Infact, I'm going to listen to it again.
