Summary
That one night changed everything.
Tessa
I’m 21. One-night stands are supposed to be normal at this age, right? Go to a bar, pick a hot guy, have a little fun, and then you run. Or at least that’s what I thought, until my first and only one-night stand ended up being the night I got knocked up by a stranger I had never laid eyes on before.
Sure, he was the perfect guy for the job. He was sexy in the way that attracted every female within 100 yards of him. His voice was smooth, and he knew exactly what to say to get into my panties, clearly. Eye roll.
I wasn’t on birth control. Now I’ve peed on two sticks, and they both say the same thing. Those two little lines have changed my future forever. You want to know what the worst part is? I have no idea what the name of the father is.
Kyle
I’m a bachelor. I never sleep with the same woman twice. I like variety. But when she walks into the bar, she takes my attention immediately. When she agrees to leave with me, I've hit the jackpot.
Then I run into her in my sister's office, the last place I expected to see her. I never thought I'd see her again. Except this time, she has something to tell me. Something that will change my world forever.
Our one night together turned out to be so much more.

surprise..
Tessa and Kyle met on a one night stand at his bar. she finds out she is pregnant. she tries to find Kyle but has no luck as they didn't exchange names or info. they reconnect about 8 months later when he sees her at his sister's office. as the navigate through the ups and downs love Blossoms.
it was a great story. there seemed to be some fluff, repeated added to story. I almost didn't finish but the side characters kept me invested.
the narrators were new to me.
I enjoyed them.

Loved this story
Absolutely loved the story of Tess and Kyle who meet when Tess comes into his bar one night. These two hit it off and have a one night stand but six weeks later Tess finds out she is pregnant and goes to find him she is disappointed when she can’t find him. Deciding to have the baby on her own and with her best friend Chloe by her side she is preparing to be a single mother until one day at the OB-GYN office she runs into her one night stand. Things happen and Kyle and Tess have to navigate becoming parent together and getting to know each other outside of the bed where the connected. Tess and Kyle were very enjoyable characters they just wanted happiness and deserved it especially Tess.

Crazy Cajun Book Addicts
I'm new to author J Akridge and I really enjoyed One Night. Tessa and Kyle were great characters, they had a great chemistry from the start I also enjoyed the side characters too they all brought the story to life.
When Tessa and Kyle embark on a one night stand with no names neither one had any idea just how much that night would change their lives. As they try to navigate all the changes aswell as a barrage of feelings and lust will they find their way to a happily ever after.
The narration by Mary Jane Molloy and Jeffery Holz really brought out the flirty and fun of this story and made it such an easy one to listen to.

While she is waiting at her doctors office, the sexy stranger from that night walks in.

Tessa and Kyle
One Night was a quick and easy listen. Enjoyable characters and storyline with very little drama. Tessa and Kyle have a hot one night stand that ends up with a surprise pregnancy. Overall - this was a great book in between darker/more angsty reads but do wish we had a little more of them building a relationship.
Narration - Jeffrey Holz and Mary Jane Malloy - they did a good job with the characters but there were some areas I struggled with the narration but I was able to complete the book and still have a positive listening experience.

Good
I enjoyed this book good story and characters . the male narrator did a great job but I wasn't super impressed with the female narrator her voice and the way she spoke bugged me made it harder to enjoy the book and her "male voice" was not very good

Fantastic
Just the right amount of saucy and sweet. A young woman in a new city, a bar owner, his sister and a new best friend. And a great ending. I'll stop before I give spoilers, but give this book a 5/5 rating as its great.

quick listen
This book was a quick read and a fast jump into their lives. There isn't a lot of character building more just boom into it which isn't a bad thing. It is a bit of instalove but with twists. Overall, a fun listen

What a surprise!
J Akridge has a new fan! This is an easy listen, and a fun story! Tessa is a going to have her first one night stand. That is normal for people her age, right? No names, just pleasure leads her to pregnancy.Trying to find the father has proven difficult, so single parenthood is what she is going to do! That is until she bumps in the one! Kyle is a player, has no indication of settling down. He enjoys his one night stands from the bar he owns, and they all know the score. Never more than one night. When he bumps into a very pregnant Tessa though, his life is about to change. Will he take responsibility? Will these two even get along? How will it all turn out? I totally enjoyed this couple! The story is relevant and Tessa is mature enough to her pregnancy. Her loving attitude toward her baby is enough to make me smile! Kyle proves to be quite the man. And his family is the kind everyone would love to have! Low angst, a little spice and great characters made this a pleasure to listen to.
Jeffrey Holz and Mary Jane Malloy bring out all the fun with a wonderful narration. Holz is Kyle, and he finds his true self. From player to responsible partner, he uses his nuances to create a great man. Mary Jane Malloy is new to me and I enjoyed her portrayal of Tessa. A little spunky, a little afraid, and all the pregnancy hormones, she gives us a real feeling of a new mom. Love these two together and their performance.
