Summary

Happily ever after is not in her plans....

Always a bridesmaid....

And that's exactly how professional bridesmaid Lauren Bennett wants it. All she'll allow herself to indulge in is a quick occasional fling or a one-night stand. She won't risk falling for someone and ending up trapped in a loveless marriage like her parents. She knows all too well that love and marriage equal misery and she never wants to live like that.

Never the groom....

But photographer Kyle Rawlings would like to be! At 30 years old, he's done playing the field and wants to settle down with the right woman. When mistaken identity drops Lauren into his lap - and his bed - he thinks fate has finally granted his wish. He just didn't realize it would take a force of nature to convince his stubborn professional bridesmaid that two people can be more than lovers.

But Kyle is nothing if not patient, and he's going to use every means possible to show Lauren just how wonderful love can be. In this battle of wills...who will win?

Always a Bridesmaid Book 2

This second book in the series actually happens simultaneously with book one but focuses on the character of Lauren for this book. The tone of this book is much different than book 1 because Lauren is very promiscuous especially in comparison to Erin from the first book. Lauren takes a while to "warm up" to because of her behavior but becomes more likable as the story progresses. I'm glad I didn't give up this one because I enjoyed the ending and absolutely loved the character of Kyle. 😊

Note: FYI: 18+ This book contains sexual situations and adult language.

I'm glad they kept the same narrator as book 1. She has a pleasant tone and gives each character a unique voice.

I would like to thank the author, narrator or publisher for voluntarily providing me a review copy of this audiobook. Looking forward to more in this series. 😊

Sweet sequel

The second Bridesmaid romance was hinted about in the first book but now we hear Lauren's tale. I have to say I didn't enjoy it as much as the first. I couldn't identify with Lauren although I could definitely see Kyle as a handsome wedding photographer. Lauren did have her moments but she was so stubborn and immature at times. The narrator did a fine job even though Kyle's Texan accent sounded like the Georgian accents from the previous book and wait a minute...if Kyle was an army brat he wouldn't have an accent anyway. Well, this is why I gave the story only 3 stars- but still it was an HEA that did have nice elements involving our armed services and that always gets my vote.

Once a Bridesmaid

Once a Bridesmaid: Always a Bridesmaid, Book 2

by Courtney Hunt

Lauren didn't want a relationship because of her parents bitter marriage. Enter Kyle, a photographer that she wants to spend time with, but she refused to acknowledge they are dating or that he is her boyfriend. The twists and bumps will either bring them together or break them apart. A good story and the bedroom scenes are tender without being over the top.Now I need to go back and listen to book one, and I've already purchased some books from another series by this author.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Elizabeth Klett made this very enjoyable.

The BridesMaid Business, Part Two..

Any additional comments?

Lauren, the female lead, is staging a bachelorette party.

There is a bit of a "Misunderstanding" when Kyle is mistaken for the Striper.

Following that scene, there's a bit of confusion, more misunderstandings, and a few twists.

The Ending was a kind of cute and poetic.

Overall, a quirky Good Read.

Elizabeth Klett did well with the narration.

There is a Story somewhere around the Sex Scenes

Any additional comments?

I didn't like this one as much as the first book. I couldn't shake the impression that Lauren is a slut. (sorry) Her reference to her "hook ups" and "not a date" became a little nauseating. She just didn't seem to deserve someone like Kyle. Perhaps if there was more of a storyline instead of so many detailed sex scenes, I could have connected with Lauren.

I did like the updates of Erin and Matthew's story (what happened between the ending of Book 1 and the Epilogue of book 1).

Ms. Klett's narration was nice. Again, dialog was fun to listen to. The sections of narration (without dialog) had an interesting cadence. Not monotone, but definitely a distinct cadence to the narration.

I was given a free copy via audiobook boom in exchange for an unbiased review.
